I've got a Buckmark with a TacSol barrel and grips, CMore sight, and the 'spring flip' trigger job.
Waaaay fun for Steel...Nice light swing weight.
Whats the spring flip trigger job?

Scroll to Post #52 at the link above.
Its also known as the Heggis Flip, or Heggis trick.
Basically you just flip the hammer spring around backwards...it reduces trigger pull by approx 50% (I have not measured it, but its a very noticable reduction) If you dont like it, flip it back.
I have no gunsmithing skills...I usually just hand it to Mike Cyrwus at Accurate Iron;-) But I was able to do this one in minutes.
I'm very happy with the results. Everyone I've shown this to has been pleased.
YMMV
Cool thanks for the info. I will give it a try also.

I have a SS that is cut for a old kings or safari arms grip safety. I would like a install a newer high ride type safety on it and was looking at Wilson's since it isn't a .250 radius. Does anyone know if these cuts are the same? I would rather not weld and recut it because its a pita so I figured I would ask before I go that route. I might just buy the jig and see if it matches but hopefully someone knows.
Thanks

You got most of it right, you got the 200 LSWC H&G #68, but to be really Old School, you need to push that slug with 5.7 gr of 231
haha I still like and use that load. My 550 tool head has been set up for it for the last 10 years. Even after not reloading for several years the powder dump still puts out 5.7 gr haha. Guess I don't like changing much

I have a question about .40 open guns. I assume you guys are taking a standard dia. 6" barrel and cutting it down to 5.5", or what is required, threading it and adding a cone comp then reaming the comp to .40 right? I looked at building one years ago and remember seeing a .40 barrel and comp kit but now that I have started looking again there is nothing. Much like everyone else I have lots of stuff for .40 and a limited STI in .40 and don't want to invest in dies, brass, mags and all the usual stuff.
Weak hand

I learned by shooting two handed with the weak hand and once I got comfortable making hits I went to one hand. For me it was easier to learn that way. All that practice did pay off once though cause I forgot my holster like and idiot and being left handed no one had one I could use. So I used a RH holster and shot that way. Didn't do too bad either only dropped a few places. But then again I am one of those odd people that is left handed at writing shooting and eating but right handed at sports.
