Above is what happen with both of my OK Target scope after using it for 2 years.

The electrode ring is not weld together but glue together.

And I have no clue of what kind of glue to be use in this case. I have to find the glue that have the Electrically Conductive property.

    Any advise will be appreciate.

  2. Dear Mai,

I'm in THAILAND also, I just want to know when and where does it happen and in what match. I never heard of any thing like this before. Me thinking, that shooter should stop by himself after he realize that he don't have the ear protection. The re-shoot is not an option here. Because you said that he kind of take advantage of the short of ear protection reason to re-shoot.

  3. I have fixing the picture already. I have 2 crack Nitrid treatment slide. After that I do nothing to the slide not even bluing it. The hardchrome issue made me wonder that thai gunsmith know about the stress relieve after the process. :D

  4. I do the flat top slide after I try to fix the crack by welding it.  The crack was happen before.  Now I'm send this slide to fix again.  There's a gun here in THAILAND he claim that he has a special way to welding it together.  He will send it back tomorrow, he said that I don't have to pay him until I'm satisfy the results.

Will post again to report the results

  5. My friend who goes to World Shoot, he use the Holosight 2 also.  But he buy a new adco sight and change it in the second day of the match.  Because, he said that the Holosight was fading in the very bright sunlight in South Africa.

  6. BSeevers,  Thanks for your diagnosis.  A lot of useful information here.  I hope that I don't have to buy another slide for another decade.  I use to live in australia for 5 years.  Now I move back to live here in THAILAND.  The sad things here is there are only 2-3 gunsmith in THAILAND.  I have to wait for almost a years

    to built one gun.

  7. Here are picture of the broken slide.  I have to use the pen to mark it because it will be difficult to see the breakage

    slide2.jpg

    slide1.jpg

The A's mark is the where it broke.  It's not on the corner of the ejection port.  This one is les baer and I think it is the barrel hood is too wide and hitting the slide every time the slide close. 20000 rounds for this one I guess

The B's mark was Colt factory slide and STI, and this one is nitride finish and lower ejection port lower

The C's mark was Mccormic it crack up to the front And I don't know why it happen.

In the early years of shooting I use 15 pounds recoil spring with the 175 ps 38 super load.  I use that heavy

spring because the old timer gunsmith told me too

But now I use 9-10 pounds spring with sprinco guide rod

    Any suggestion?
