  1. I have a Conair clipper similar to the one in the link

    http://www.conair-store.com/product_detail.asp?T1=CON+HC200GB&HDR=GROOMING#back

I basically use it once a year to cut the hair down to short stubble, then I use an old fashioned double edge blade. After approximately 10 years of doing a terrible job cutting myself and missing spots I am hopping these newfangled shavers make it easier. I have no idea what to expect but to keep on doing the same thing that has given me poor results it has finally sunk in I need to try something different.

I can always return the one I bought unopened if I made a poor choice I can always get something else, I think the three head design will fit the contours of my head better.

I anyone has suggestions I would love to hear them while I can still have the chance to switch to a different brand, I just want to get rid of my hair ASAP.

wax that dome and be done with it :) or there is nair hair remover

used it on our face and neck in boot :)

  2. I made a little frame out of 1/2" PVC and then put it inside of the trim on a pillow case. Then it hangs on the side of the bay and I can adjust it so the brass goes right in. Gets about 95% of the brass and folds up real nice. Looks stupid I must say but it does work.

  3. I have shot major 9 for the last 5 plus years, the best powder that Ive found is Ramshot Silohutte for the montana gold 124 try around 7.2 gr and for there newer 121 I use 7.5. As for the primers beware of the rifle primers, make sure they are seated all the way in other wise they may be to high and are struck by the slide. Good luck

welcome duckbutt..........what no slinky sig :)

  4. Update. I hadn't heard from Powder Valley so I called them today. They didn't know anything about it - UPS had not notified them. PV said that never do.

So, they don't notify the sender OR the recipient? :surprise:

well after all they are UPS .....next you will want some kind of service, admit it :)

  5. mmmmmm lets take a legal gun and modify it to conform with a stage brief? Does not sound quite right to me.

I dont think that answer was thought all the way through. There are too many gadgets on open guns now that give them a lift no matter what side you put them on. Areowings, kickstand, thumb rest, ubber wide safties and the list goes on.

Being an open shooter I must say I agree with Jon. No way we need to take our blasters apart just because somebody has a hair where it does not belong. :o

  6. My first thought is, if you put the 9mm top end on, only load one round in the magazine. That way when he shoots his first 9mm round, you can see how he handles the recoil, the shock of shooting such a big bullet compared to the 22, things like that. If you have a full mag, who knows where that second shot is going to go. I did this with my girlfriend when I first took her shooting. It worked out well.

I did the one round in the mag with a girl friend I took to the indoor range. It was a good thing cause I need to dig lead out of my arm because she shot the target holder and it came lookin for me !

  7. I must be 1 of very few that is happy with the lee loadmaster. It gets me about 600 an hour in .40 or 9. I do resize in the same station as the prime stage so it is always aligned. Sometimes I can only do 450 because I screw up. It is a good press for the money but I need about 4 times the output now I shoot open :( Still a good press. Takes about 5 min to switch between 40 and 9 and when I want to do 223 well that takes about 7 min to get it ready.

  8. The only time you can tell the difference is when you load um up w/bullets. They are a little rough around the edges but work just fine. I have never had any issues with them, they work as advertised.

  9. Apparently all metal,..Gas blow back and CO2 powered. Can't wait. You can see pictures from the new IPSC Magazine that just debuted on the Global village. Eric announced it on Facebook today. Looks like a new toy to help with the Winter cabin fever

Any chance you might be getting these in Henning?

Gee and I thought you were talking about this:

Subject: Now this is a gun !

No hiding place from new U.S. Army rifles that use radio-controlled smart bullets

    · ·

    · Weapon hailed as a game-changer that can fire up and over barriers and down into trenches

    · Soldiers will start using them in Afghanistan later this month

The U.S. army is to begin using a futuristic rifle that fires radio-controlled 'smart' bullets in Afghanistan for the first time, it has emerged.

The XM25 rifle uses bullets that are programmed to explode when they have travelled a set distance, allowing enemies to be targeted no matter where they are hiding.

The rifle also has a range of 2,300 feet making it possible to hit targets which are well out of the reach of conventional rifles.

The XM25 is being developed specially for the U.S. army and will be deployed with troops from later this month, it was revealed today.

The XM25 Counter Defilade Target Engagement System has a range of roughly 2,300 feet - and is to be deployed in Afghanistan this month

The rifle's gunsight uses a laser rangefinder to determine the exact distance to the obstruction, after which the soldier can add or subtract up to 3 metres from that distance to enable the bullets to clear the barrier and explode above or beside the target.

Soldiers will be able to use them to target snipers hidden in trenches rather than calling in air strikes.

The 25-millimetre round contains a chip that receives a radio signal from the gunsight as to the precise distance to the target.

Lt. Col. Christopher Lehner, project manager for the system, described the weapon as a ‘game-changer’ that other nations will try and copy.

He expects the Army to buy 12,500 of the XM25 rifles this year, enough for every member of the infantry and special forces.

Lehner told FoxNews: ‘With this weapon system, we take away cover from [enemy targets] forever.

‘Tactics are going to have to be rewritten. The only thing we can see [enemies] being able to do is run away.’

Experts say the rifle means that enemy troops will no longer be safe if they take cover

The XM25 appears the perfect weapon for street-to-street fighting that troops in Afghanistan have to engage in, with enemy fighters hiding behind walls and only breaking cover to fire occasionally.

The weapon's laser finder would work out how far away the enemy was and then the U.S. soldier would add one metre using a button near the trigger. When fired, the explosive round would carry exactly one metre past the wall and explode with the force of a hand grenade above the Taliban fighter.

The army's project manager for new weapons, Douglas Tamilio, said: ''This is the first leap-ahead technology for troops that we've been able to develop and deploy.'

A patent granted to the bullet's maker, Alliant Techsystems, reveals that the chip can calculate how far it has travelled.

Mr Tamilio said: 'You could shoot a Javelin missile, and it would cost £43,000. These rounds will end up costing £15.50 apiece. They're relatively cheap.

Lehner added: ‘This is a game-changer. The enemy has learned to get cover, for hundreds if not thousands of years.

‘Well, they can't do that anymore. We're taking that cover from them and there's only two outcomes: We're going to get you behind that cover or force you to flee.’

The rifle will initially use high-explosive rounds, but its makers say that it might later use versions with smaller explosive charges that aim to stun rather than kill.

  10. I have a brand new set of .40 dies. When the case seems to stick at the end of the return stroke. It takes a little more effort to put the handel back up at the end. Is this normal?

I get that when I have the powder drop set to deep, Bells the case so much that it drags on the way out. That may be your problem also.
