.40 170 gr Precision Black Bullets in 10mm/40 Caliber Posted November 27, 2008 · Edited November 27, 2008 by Erik T Hi folks, I'm trying some .40 170 gr Precision bullets and was wondering if the following setup will be OK for a starting load: 4.8 grains Universal 1.140 OAL Winchester small pistol primers R-P Brass. Any ideas as to what kind of performance I can expect? The bullets will be used for target practice in a Springfield XDM, 4.5" barrel. What about maximum loads? Thanks, Erik

Hi folks,
