  1. Finally found a shooting bag that fits my needs. I did not want to haul a huge range bag anymore and so I started looking for a "smaller" one. Fortunately, I came across this bag from Maxpedition. This bag is the Colossus model from their versipack collection.

The first thing you notice with Maxpedition gear is the superb quality of their products. I like how any of their bag can be customized with accessories. I added a roly poly pack pouch, a cell phone pouch and a general all purpose pouch.

    Contents:

Pistol Limited class STI ( it will fit an open gun)

    300 rounds of ammo

    4 140mm magazines

some tools (my friends brings the rest)

    flashlight

    pocket knife

    magazine loader

    ear muff

    cell phone

roly polly. I like how you can fold it to save space.

roly polly unfolded. You can use this when collecting brass or water holder

  2. Your supposed to clean your dies? :surprise:

I've got something like 50,000 - 60,000 through mine without cleaning. But now I'm gonna be worried about it every time I load. :)

Hahaha. Me too, I've never clean my dies. But I only have 12,000 on mine. Maybe it's time to clean it.

  3. I load maybe a 1000 rounds at at time. But lately, I have been loading an hour before practice or a match. I just wake up really early and start cranking those rounds that I need. Dangerous but I have no time like I used to.

  4. I would prefer to have two zippered pouches on both sides that would hold 500 loose (not boxed) ammo. This way it will save more space. An outside compartment that would fit an open gun with rug cover. The main compartment does not need to be huge but big enough to put in some tools and 6 magazine pouches. The main compartment should not be too deep to make things readily accessible.

And the most important part........a loop (velcro type) underneath or on top of the bag to hold our pesky outer belts after we are done shooting.

  5. it just taps on from the rear..

    that's it.

Even with the long aluminum grips? Or will it need some sort of shaving?

you'll need to whack a good portion of the grips off to fit the magwell.

the magwell fits over the wide portion on the bottom of the frame..IIRC it is above the cutouts on the grip area..so the long grips need to be shortened up just above the cutouts of the grip.

here are two CZs..one with magwell, one without..you can see the heighth that the magwell comes up.

That's all I needed to see. A clear picture of what needs to be done to my current aluminum grips. Thanks.

  6. What kind of modification would I need to do to install a tactical sport magwell on my SP01? I already have the "long" aluminum grips and really don't want to buy a "short" one just to accomodate the magwell. Has anyone installed the tac sport magwell on the SP01 yet. It says on Angus website that it is friction fit.....what does that mean? Thanks.

  7. Does anyone know if there are aftermarket barrels available for the CZ-75? I have a pre-B model (CZ-75A?) 9mm, and I was just curious. I've poked around online a bit but haven't seen anything.

    Cheers!

Just curious why would you wanna replace it? Have you noticed degrading accuracy already? How many rounds? Thanks.

Just curious at this point. I bought the gun used, so I have no idea how many rounds are through it. I don't seem to get the accuracy that I get from my Smith M&P9, I've tried various versions (faster, slower, longer OAL, etc.) of my M&P target load, and a couple different brands of factory ammo as well, but the Smith shoots tighter groups with all the same ammo loads, out to 50 yards. I also noticed when cleaning the barrel that the copper brush is WAAAY looser in the CZ barrel than the Smith, which makes me wonder if the barrel is worn. I like the CZ and would like to keep shooting it, but if it isn't accurate...

Oh, I shoot CPCA (Canadian Police Combat Association) PPC and Duty class (the Smith is my Duty Class gun), just in case you're wondering.

    Cheers!

Way looser when cleaning may be a good indication. If you ever buy an aftermarket barrel for your CZ please do a review. Thanks

  8. Get in touch with G. Smith at EGW- some months ago

I and others had the same problems. I sent in the 9mm

udie and was informed that it was not a 9mm die and

it was replace with a new one. How long have you had

    this die?

Wow! I just bought it recently.....a few months ago and around 300 rounds reloaded. The die is clearly marked 9mm "U".

  9. :angry2:

Have any of you experience this reloading with Lee "U" for 9mm? Every 1-2 out 10 of my brass would get stripped at the bottom from using a Lee "U". What could cause this problem? My brass seemed aligned properly and I lube my cases.

FYI I also used Lee "U" for my .40s&w and I never ever have this problem.
