Patrick, two very nice looking pistols you have there. Assuming you were involved with the design, great work!

Thank you.   I was fortunate enough to have some great advice from the FGW Team shooters on the 5.5".   I bought the 6" as a used black and silver and Bobby refinished it for me with some cool colors and added the steel grip.  It came out better than new. I love both of them.  Wish I could shoot them like they were meant to....

These grips are the Master II from  Karl Nill.

    their website:  www.nill-griffe.com

    They are in Germany.

You can select the English version of the website on the top left corner.

If you go to 'shop' and then select your country from the drop down box, you can then select "Special grips for revolver" and there on the second page you will find the Master II grips. You can order them in different sizes with closed or open back. They provide a 'table' with measurements for your hand so you can select the right grip.

For example, I have the 'standard' size with the closed back.  The width of my palm is about 10 cm and this fits me perfectly and gives the right distance from the back of the grip to the trigger.

It usually does take several weeks for them to have your grip ready. But it is só worth it!

Oh and mentally prepare yourself for the price......US $ 245.70  :D  but really, they're worth it.

    Thank You!

    Hi guys,

    Just for 'sharing purposes'... ^_^

I bought a Nill Master II grip for my 627, put an extended cylinder latch on it, and cut down all my .38 special brass to Short Colts (actually .38 Super Auto length)

Now all I need, is to learn shooting revolver! whoohooo!

I want that exact grip!  What are the specs for it (Product #) and where did you get it from?  I haven't been able to find one exactly like this...

  4. I haven't forgotten about it, but I still don't own an Android device. What version of the shot timer did you use where you had volume problems? I will try it out on a co-workers phone.

I was using the 1.2.2 from 2/22. This is one of the few applications for droid that I would gladly pay for. You should consider putting it on the android market once you've worked out the kinks.....

  5. This is an awesome project. I hope that you haven't given up on it. I really like the idea. I've played with it a little bit and have just a few issues. I'm running on a Motorola Droid and the buzzer volume just isn't loud enough to hear with ear protection. When I turn the volume all the way up, it's still not loud enough, but it registers the buzzer as shots.....
