  1. Hey all,

I am looking into adding a drill press to the home tool arsenal for some light duty gunsmithing projects and other around the house projects. Also what model of vise would you recommend?

Looking for some opinions before buying to make sure I don't end up with a pile...

  2. I could get mine to click in a Safariland 013... but the holster would be in my arm pit before the gun would click out. So probably cross that one off the list.

    What about the 014?

I tried the 014 when I had my Czechmate and it was very tight where the holster holds the trigger guard. Like, couldn't get the gun out on occasion tight. I had the best results with the Racemaster holster.

  3. Another point of failure could be the primer tube mount not being lined up with the primer slide when the slide is fully back. I found after fixing all of what has been mentioned above I was still having problems. With the slide fully back shine a light between the slide and the primer tube and look down the primer tube from above and check alignment. If necessary loosen the two Allen screws and move the primer tube holder so it aligns perfectly to drop the primers straight down into the slide. This may not be your issue but it is something else to look at.

  4. I see this is an old thread but I will share my experience for someone who may be searching for information. I bought a lightly used EMP in 40 for good price, person told me the gun ran fine. Took it out and every second or third round wouldn't eject (case was still stuck in the chamber). I checked the tension of the extractor with an empty case and found there was no tension on it and the case would fall out by just rotating the slide. I tensioned the extractor so the case would hold and haven't had a problem in over 500 rounds since. I have used premium defense ammo and cheap range ammo with all three factory magazine.

Hopefully this helps someone out there.

  5. I shot this club match the OP is describing and watched this occur. It wasn't a poor match design it was poor ROing. The RO took the clock with description from the precious RO and failed to follow the directions and move back at the proper times. He ended up trapping three shooters the same way, someone else took the clock and all was good.

  6. Let's look at everything overall. Nothing has changed except for a standalone nationals. Everything on levels below that is still the same. I think there needs to be a change if USPSA is actually looking to boost numbers in the division. I believe the vote to provisionally allow 8 shots in the division is coming up, might want to talk to your directors to show your support of however you feel.

  7. The control rib that the pointer is at is the one you are concerned about. I started at the small black mark that I put on the magazine that you can see in the pic and worked my way up. My best results occurred when I bent it in to 0.500-0.509" measured at the top of the control rib and on the outside of the magazine.post-15156-0-15459800-1365266320_thumb.j
