  1. AS OF 1030 today 02/12/2012 sportsmanswarehouse.com Has H335 in STOCK! I just ordered, they have 1lb and 8lb limit 2.

8 pounders are gone. Ordering 2 one pounders plus hazmat is nuts.

I did a little math and it's not too nuts for me- 1lb = 7000 grains. 25 grain load: 7000 / 25 = 280 rounds. $42 a lb (for the 1lb plus hazmat/shipping) / 280 rounds = .15 cents per round. Add my primers at less than a nickel, 55 fmj projectiles were .15 cents each, I have tons of .223 brass, so my total per round is 34 cents per round. I'm looking at $1 a rounds IF I could even find any .223 to buy, so it's a no brainer. In fact that's damned cheap even without the current Libtard hysteria shortage.

  2. My 930 has developed a serious "failure of round to be released from the feed tube" issue. It was fine stock, but as soon as I put the 9 round tube on it problems started. It would not load a round onto the lifter with hand cycling if the tube was loaded past 4 rounds. This was been a common issue that others have seen. But now that issue has propagated into firing actual rounds. I now have problems with the gun locking back the bolt like it's empty when the tube is still full. And then when you hit the bolt release it dumps rounds out the bottom.

I feel like it's an issue with the mechanics of the parts which release the round from the tube. It stems from the issue of not loading with a full tube while hand cycling. I think I just need to get in a polish and clean up the interacting surfaces of all those mechanisms. Also sounds like I should clean my piston, which has never been done.

What is your Nordic spring length? Mine is 35-1/2". Has worked like a champ, thousands of rounds over 2 years. Although mine is not the "JM" (jam-o-Matic? LOL) it's with the 24" non-ported barrel I ordered.

  3. AND... WILL THERE BE A MAGWELL and basepads for .45ACP XD-m ???

So I read somewhere here (can't find the thread though) that there is a ICE magwell coming soon. Any updates on an estimated ETA along with basepads?

Getting ready to start setting up one of the new 5.25 XDm 40s for Limited so I am shopping the needed parts

  4. Anyone notice this on the bottom of your gas tube?

    IMG_20120817_213432.jpg

Check for a bur on the gas relief spring in the barrel. Both my 18" and 24" barrels scratched the crap out of the tube. I took a grinder to it and fixed the problem. If you want to have some real fun, take the spring out of the barrel! That's not really that much fun, but putting it back in is a blast!!!

Hmmm... tempted to send it to Mossberg.

THAT IS NASTY! Mine was perfect. (Got it 2 years ago though)

  5. We are really, really close on those.

We just completed a reprogram of our front sights so that we could decrease production cost with the goal being to NOT raise the price on any of our front sights.

Now that that is successfully completed, XDm magwells and basepads are at the very top of our list.

Seems like the Glock pads and wells bumped the XD-m stuff down : (

  6. Oh man! I gotta wait until next week to see the stage I helped on, doh!

Awesome production, the stage maps were too cool. I hope this match comes back here next season too.

The commercials are almost as good as the show too- I didn't do my usual DVR-fastforward.

  7. 3 Gun Nation Season 3 on NBC Sports Dates and Times Announced

The new season of 3 Gun Nation begins on the NBC Sports Channel Wednesday August 15th at 12 PM CST and Sundays at 6:30 AM CST.

Be sure to tune in, set your DVR, tell your friends and family to watch, then come out and shoot a match with us.

SWEET! I can hardly wait to see the rain fest in St. Augustine... Do you know if you all will be back here next season?

  8. Watch the 180! Watch finger while reloading/moving! Sometimes I don't ever remember even looking at the sights or aiming or anything and I'm done. Usually my best performances : ) (which aren't too good, but 1 match every other month will do that to a "shooter")

  9. I've been using the lead bullets from X-Calibers for three years, love 'em- they are super accurate in my XD and XD-m 5.25 (200 gr RP FN), a great value and they load so easily. With Tite-Group powder, not too smokey either.

I live/shoot in FL and I agree with some posters here, the only time it makes a difference is when there's zero breeze (very rare) on a "stand-and-shoot" COF.

  10. DP Tool-less XDM 140mm Base Pads are finished, silver are ready to ship. Black are at annodizing so give us afew days on them.

I think you'll like them, they add 3 to 4 rounds in 9mm and 40S&W. I got 20 40's in my mags, but all mags arn't created equal.

Thanks for your patience and your support.

    Again Thanks, Dave Dawson

P.S. I'm on to XDM Ice Mag Wells

    Congrats! Any for .45ACP?

How about an XD-m .45 magwell?

  11. I was on the road in Tallahassee, watched the game Monday night at Macaroni Grill. Born and raised in LA, my dad took me and my bro to the Kings games back when they played at the Forum. This was a long time coming, got my hopes up in '93. That quick-flip-no-look-wrister by Greene was icing on the cake... All the best KINGS!!!

  12. I am a first time XDM 5.25 owner and can't wait to shoot it. Does Springfield recommend lubricating the striker channel? I was always under the impression to keep that area lube free in my Glocks, but the XDM is new to me.

I have an XD Tactical .45 that's 4 years old, over 10,000 rounds thru it, never even cleaned the striker channel or lubed it, never had ONE light strike. I've run mostly my reloads thru it, but once in a while a box of WWB or Lawman or Atlanta Arms reloads.

Oh, and it has a 16# recoil spring, solid guide rod, trigger job, extended mag release.

  13. My XD-m 5.25 with Canyon Creek extended mags holds 18 + 1. They function 100%, almost never any FTE or FTL etc. no matter shooting postition or how fast I fire. Makes a nice limited .45ACP for not that much $ comparatively.

Have you tried some slower powder, isn't Clays a shotgun powder? Try some Hogdgon Tite-Group or HP-38.

Just went to "Canyon Creek" & their followers don't lock the slide back - not a deal-breaker - but do you know a follower that does?

    Thanks,

    -jb

I'm pretty sure the standard one can be used with the CC but you lose 1 round capacity. I'll try it out and give you a report in a couple days...

Hey, I think I recognize you from your picture (face only!) we've shot matches at SAPSA together before.

  14. I have 6 C-Products 24ish round mags for my Grendels and they work fine. But for my LR-308 only P-mags! ( I have 4 of the old expensive, heavy, DPMS 20 rounders that I never use but work great too)

  15. My XD-m 5.25 with Canyon Creek extended mags holds 18 + 1. They function 100%, almost never any FTE or FTL etc. no matter shooting postition or how fast I fire. Makes a nice limited .45ACP for not that much $$ comparatively.

  16. If the IDPA rule regarding finger in the trigger guard was more strict (not just a PE or a warning for the first offense) and more strictly enforced this issue would not be an issue. IMO way more people should be getting DQ'd at weekly matches for finger violations but it seems to get overlooked often.

I most definitely agree. I see fingers in there at every match, a warning is given, then next stage I see it again. (and I'm not ROing) Nothing like a DQ and then being under the pressure of future DQs to make folks change to safe handling. Especially since everyone seems to be getting drop-in trigger kits, which makes it even more dangerous.
