I have a P and like it a lot but I really like the look of the C2. My eyes are done so like my P I'd need a red dot to hit a barn door. My everyday carry is a Kimber Micro 9 and I can cover that with anything. I need to be careful as I live in MA so no printing allowed......ever! Trying to decide between a PSE Levitate or a C2 but if both my side jobs come in I may get both my new toys! Thanks for your service and stay safe. Cheers

    Thank you, quiller.

I know I would love to have both the P and C2 to cover the bases of CCW and gunbelt. Hopefully some day! As for red dots, I'm torn... I would really like to try the DUO/DPO models out at the range.

If I was going to shoot it a lot, I'd go with the P with a steel frame.  I noticed on the Dawson Precision site this weekend that they actually make a P with an aluminum frame, which I didn't even know existed.  I got this gun for "carrying" a lot.  I've got Atlas and Cheely guns for shooting a lot.  I haven't really carried anything other than a G48 inside the waistband.  It's just not comfortable to me....

    Thank you, Sir.

Since I changed jobs, I've been continually looking for a good/better/best concealed carry pistol.  I've got Glocks, Wilsons and now the Staccato C2 which weighs only 26 ounces unloaded.  For the money, I think these pistols are the best bang for the buck if you want/need a doublestack 1911 for concealed carry.......

I've been humming and hawing over a Staccato since SHOT Show 2020... Learned to shoot on single actions 45-ish years ago. Bought my first pistol at 21 from a former Vietnam SF friend (a true 1911, not an A1) in the late 80s before I started a 21 yr Army career in the early 90s (thank you Magnum PI!!). Carried that for over 10 years when I wasn't overseas, before CCW was a thing... Eventually upgraded to a Nighthawk GRP before I switched to Glocks for MANY years (batteries were cheaper). Carried a 2nd Gen G17 strong side for a long while, eventually switched to a G19, and then later transitioned to the dark side of appendix carry about 4+ years ago. I eventually transitioned back to the G17 and then the G45 due to a better grip length for me. (I live in AZ so printing AIWB is NOT an issue.)

Believe it or not, I currently AIWB a Wiley Clap GP100 in a leather holster from ETW Holsters. I'm fully retired and live about 15 miles north of Mexico in a high traffic area and prefer it on our rural homestead. I love it, but after over a half century of life, I'm missing 1911s... Arthritis and an Army career dictates a NOT-.45ACP... Been thinking a P as I prefer a full-sized grip, but still prefer AWIB even working on a homestead (mucking stalls, splitting firewood, clearing brush, garden work, etc.)... Have you tried AIWB with a P? (I'm 70", 185lbs, relatively fit.)

Bottom line, if you could have only ONE, likely shooting ranges of 25-100m, would you get a P or C2? (I'm still playing w/ optics but still prefer irons.)

Your input has been invaluable to me. Definitely appreciate your input on Staccatos.

Thanks for what you do standing in the gap. Watch your six.
