  2. I watched the movie last night and, whilst I enjoyed it, I would rate it behind Shogun. Another favourite East-West clash movie is "The Red Sun" which starred Charles Bronson and Toshiro Mifune (not to mention Ursula Andress).

I just ordered the DVD of "The Red Sun"from Amazon.com a couple of weeks ago.I think that this one is of the best movies of Charles Bronson.

  3. I waited for "The Last Samurai"to come out in DVD.When it finally came out a couple of months ago,I ordered a copy right away.I first saw the movie about a month ago and sinced then,I've seen it 4 times already.I think that this is the best movie of Tom Cruise so far.I still haven't seen "Collateral"yet though.

  4. save your money, get a tox (i'm not sure if is spelled this right), its that plastic tube that is inserted on concrete walls/floors to before inserting a screw. choose the size that would fit snugly on the CR Speed's muzzle platform. I have it on my WSM and it works great :D

    9MX,

I thought, you have a Ghost Holster? What happened to the one that you bought at the last gun show?Did you replace it with the CR Speed? If yes, why?

    THANKS.

  5. Someone advised or suggested to me that I have the Grip Safety of my STI Trojan killed so that that I wouldn't have to squueze so tightly inoprder to disingage the trigger. What is your take on this? And why?

  6. Actually for a brand spanking FNG I wouldn't recommend Brian's Book!

I would recommend Matt's Vol 1-3 DVD's, they are exceptional at showing a FNG what he needs to know.

I would also buy Matt's Book, forgot the name though (sorry matt!) :)

And the third book would be Steve's Dryfire book. It provides focus for your practice and will really help you get comfortable with your gun.

Where can I get Steve Anderson's "Dry Fire"Book?

    THANKS.

  7. I am thinking of getting the Comp-Tac Locking Paddle Holster for my STI Trojan Pistol which I shall be using for IDPA Competitions.Has anyone out there ever had had any experiences with this holster? If yes, what do you think of the Comp-Tac Locking Paddle Holster?Would you highly recommend it?How does it compare to holsters from BladeTech and SideArmor?Lastly, what do you think of the Comp-Tac Mag Pouches and would you also highly recommend them?

    THANKS

  8. I've finally decided to go with the Tripp Research Cobra 8 Rounder Mags.Placed an order thru the phone last week and spoke to Virgil Tripp himself.Very accomodating and very helpful even if I asked him some questions not related to his Cobra Mags.Truly,a very nice man.Ordered 5 Cobra Mags and had them shipped here to the Philippines by Global Priority Mail.Got them this morning and tried them out this afternoon.Shot 300 rounds thru them with no failures.Gonna call Virgil Tripp again tonight to order 6 more.

  9. I have been hearing a lot of good things about the Schuemann AET Barrels. What are the advantages of an AET Schuemnn Barrel over a Standard or Classic Schuemann Barrel? If a Standard or Classic Schuemann Barrel has any advantages over an AET Schuemman Barrel, what are they?

    THANKS.

  10. TGO was using a fiber optic front site on his XD40 Tactical at Area 5. I don't know which brand and I didn't check on the color. He had the stock rear site.

His second gun had a Bomar melted into the slide but it had just been completed and he had not shot it yet. It also had a fiber optic front.

If I am not mistaken,I think Rob Letham uses a red fiber optic front sight. When I was in the U.S.A.,I went to a gun store in Sacramento,California and the Springfield 1911 pistols with Rob Leathm's signature(TGO) on them had red fiber optic front sights. Also,in his website, there is a section there where it shows some pictures of Leatham's guns and they have red fiber optic front sights.

Anyway,I just got my 2 Sti Trojan pistols a couple of weeks ago.One of them has a red fiber optic front sight and the other,a green fiber optic front sight. So far,I've only tried them in an indoor range and I seem to prefer the green fiber front sight.I still have to try them both outdoors to see which I prefer between the red or green fiber optic front sight.
