Entry goes into the mail today. Missed this match last year, and I'm anxious to go now!
-
This was my first time shooting this match and you can bet I'll be back next year! Great stages and the RO's were great, and I'm pretty sure squad 8 was the "super squad".
-
Oh, you're THAT Jim.
Nevermind.
He's probably thinking your THAT Darren. I already have my velcro running shoes packed!
-
Looking forward to Area 3! Most of the Higginsville super squad will be attending.
-
Any stage, division scores? or am I asking to much?
-
Come shoot with us this saturday in Higginsville at the Lafayette gun club. We'd be glad to have you, registration starts at 11am and shooting starts at 12 noon.

Great match, I really liked all the stages. It was fun even for an open shooter to be forced to reload all the time! The platfrom worked fine, no one in our squad had any trouble, good balance of shooting challenges. Memory test, speed shoots, got to use my magnet! Hated the classifier as I am one of those people that cannot count when the buzzer goes off. Yes the walls on 10 could have been lower, but we had that discussion breifly face to face. And as a side note I think that's the best the prize table had looked in several years. Keep doing what youre doing..................we (the shooters) will be there to shoot it with out complaint.

Jim Anglin, Sailors custom. .38sc on a para frame that just flat out runs flawless.
-
On a little more serious note:
Everyone will get an amount of cash (amount not yet determined) just for shooting one of the stages. Pretty good deal if you ask me... not every match hands out money!
does that mean a cash pay out for stage wins? can i crash and burn and still get paid?
-
i don't use walnut or corncob media. fill tumbler with rice and a cap full of nu finish car polish. after a few hours the brass is clean and looks brand new.
-
kimber custom target, has all the goodies and are 100% reliable.
-
i have 10,000 9mm 125rn coming from bear creek. been shooting them for 3yrs now and they're great!
-
The fastest time on this match wins. Missed Poppers, plates, etc on the USPSA style stages will add the same time penalty that a missed plate would on the Steel Challenge stages. Any other questions feel free to post them here or email Tom Drazy or I about them. Our emails are on the application. This is a start up match so there will be bugs to work out the first year. I can only promise you great stages and lot's a good shooting. 500 rounds if you don't miss.
Hope everyone can make it!
Thanks
Ray Hirst
thanks ray, gonna try and get this match on the calender!
-
so these will be fixed time field courses? points are based on the number of steel knocked down in a given amount of time? pasa is only 3hrs away and this sounds like a blast!
-
So far it looks like only one person, but could be more.
Robert, I am allergic to latex. I found out the hard way years ago! Sucked! Also found out at the dentist. You said you would have some on hand? I can bring my own nitrile if that is allowed.
Thanks,
Jimmy Callender Squad 24

i'm also on squad 24........i hope you guys don't make me allergic to anything

There are multiple independant threads on this powder. Is there some way to merge them?
thanks for the info

I use cheap rice from ALDI's
. . . and a bit of car wax.
how well does the rice "clean"? does the rice last very long?

i had a problem like this a few years ago with 3 people. i finally had to tell them to fix their problem by next months match or don't come back ever, and that went for all 3.

At our club we actually have an old hospital bed that we just lay a piece of plywood on. It is kinda heavy to move but holds up to the weather really well.
