The first Smith 357 was an N-frame (M27). The market then wanted a smaller lighter gun so the M19 and M66 were introduced in the K-frame. It was then dicovered that the smaller frame didn't handle the 357 over long periods. The L-frame was introduced with the K-frame grip but beefed up where it counts. The M686 is a fine revolver with a full underlug and an accurate barrel. However, I'd still opt for an N-frame over all other due to their weight and balance.

Great match Sam and crew, mucho fun and we are in for next year fo sho!I got to see a lot of guys i almost never get to shoot with which was way cool. And of course the look on Saban's face was priceless go TIGERS!

That sucks Lynn, thanks for your hard work though! I had a similar accident the morning of the southern regional a couple of years back, then decided i could shoot and dqued on the last stage not a good day indeed!

+100 on using Clark, Tommy Joe did one of my 686's pretty awesome and not bad turn around either.

After talking to Bubber this weekend i think the eight shot deal is a viable way to go. Without getting technical if you shoot Icore you would understand the whole six shot, eight shot neutral deal. All i shoot is revolver fwiw so i definitely have a horse in this race, of course i have all the variations , six shot NRA, six shot USPSA and eight shot ICORE.

Great job Cliff,Matt, Bud, Shane and others i won't remember. You guy's put your heart and soul in it and i had a great time!!! I got to shoot with the Okie's and it was a laugh a minute, great guy's. Already waiting for next year, or at least the next RAM ICORE match thanks again. I wish everyone a safe journey home, Ed K.
