Does anyone have similar info for the 5x5 classifier?
I need to shave 3 seconds to make Expert

but everyone else in your division has a dot too, so it's no advantage at all. it's just another thing you have to buy, maintain, and have a backup for.
I'll keep telling myself this, to help me in not buying a dot!!!

I was close to buying a Springfield Range Officer Champion 9mm last year, I would have been stuck with it now. Already have a full size 1911 in 9mm for ESP,
so the Champion would not have been used in any matches.

NoKimberDave, are you using and adjustable gas block?

Who knows, maybe they only want commander slides with officer frames ...

I (almost) feel your pain. I came THAT close to buying a RO Champion for the Division.
Same here. Now I am glad I did not spend the money.

I just looked at the specs for the CQB Commander Compact:
http://www.wilsoncombat.com/cqb-commander-compact/
Wilson Combat website lists:
Overall Length: 7.85″
That is 0.10 inches larger than the length of the CCP box, isn't?

Seems like even the Springfiled EMP 4 will be out, due to the height requirement.
Longer barrel but smaller height than before?
I am not sure what they were trying to bring into the division ...

So, match bump are automatical? If I classified as MM year ago and won match in August that bumped me to SS AND 2 months later won SS class , doesn't that mean I'm expert now ?
Sanctioned or club match?

I thought CCP was to be 3.8" or less which takes out the G19 and G23. I believe the Canik Stingray with its 3.5" barrel and heavy steel frame will be the ticket.
8.2.4.1.3 Barrel length of 4.10” (104.1 mm) or less.

I may finally stipple the Glock 19 I used to keep for SSP, I could even add a magwell assuming it's slimmer than 1 3/8 inches

Anyone have a link to the new rule book? I am not seeing it on the IDPA website

First match in 2006, shot CDP with a Kimber Gold Match.
That same year shot SSP with a Beretta 92FS.
A year later I bought a Springfield Loaded 1911 in 9mm for ESP.
These days:
SSP - S&W M&P Pro
The other 2 remain the same

Does the mark match the back of the guide rod? It looks like the guide rod head damaged the link area on the barrel. I would get it checked out by a competent gunsmith.
Yes, it does match, I guess the guide rod did the damage like you discuss. Thanks,

I have a 5 inch bull barrel on my STI, after cleaning the gun I was having a hard time with reassembly. The slide was not moving back enough for me to insert the slide stop again. I took it apart again and noticed the barrel link was stuck. I soaked the barrel in mineral spirits, the link moves now, but it does not move easily. I noticed this on the barrel:
Question for the experts, can this be fixed?Do I need a new link and maybe file the damaged sides? Is this a symptom of a bigger problem? Thanks in advance -
I was in the Army when the original came out and only recently saw it. The new one looks a lot different. The foe is North Korea?? It was "politically incorrect" to make it China? Yeesh.
Roger Ebert explains it this way: "A marketing genius figured out that China is one of the biggest markets for American movie exports, and North Korea generates unimpressive box-office".

Every shooter in the world should own a 9mm Glock.
Absolutely. In addition every shooter should own at least 1 1911.
This ONE 1911 should be in .45 acp or 9mm?

In USPSA, the proper command is "Make Ready".
Mildot
I'm showing my age I guess, LAMR was the command in the 2004 rules (8.3.1) ....
-
LAMR?
Load And Make Ready.
-
Use the 17 round mags and just load 10. Rule is 10 rounds in mags after the start signal. So you can load 11 in your first mag as long as it is not an empty gun start.
It is easier to load 10 on a 17 rd magazine, that is what I do too.
All my 10 round mags in the belt pouches, the 11 round mag in my front pocket for LAMR.
Question on Starting Condition

I used to thumb-cock when I started, thinking it was better to only have SA shots. Of course it ended up costing me more time ....
