  1. Long slide is much better than the V12 short slide becuase it shoots flatter.

The V8 model had the longer slide version and that model did not have any problems.

Still waiting for my repair 9months and counting.

I am agree with you.....but, you buy a short open, and after warranty issue, they give you back a long one......Very astonishing !

  2. If you do buy one, I would send it to a gunsmith to have the gun

checked for proper barrel fitting!!Make sure the gunsmith fires a major load then check the gun.

Buy the gun only in 38 super. Beautiful blaster!

Does the wrong barrel/slide luggs fitting has been solved on the V12 ?

Yes! according to Eric Grauffel and Henning Wallgreen, they have made changes at the factory in Italy.

One must be careful in the U.S as some must be repaired. You wont know until you really

shoot the gun and inspect it. I would order one from Italy to get the good ones.

Good new, they finally find the problem...i am very curious about what they've changed !

  4. I've just tested my new setup today, and most of the time, the slide don't chamber the last ammo...What should i do ??

is it not stripping it at all? a little more description would be good.. what spring and follower are you using?

    Leo

Look at the subject  38SA mag for My tanfoglio gold custom

The slide lock back as if the mag is empty....but there is still one cartrigue !

  5. Grauffel is working on sprinco recoil reducer that will be available in his website by Dec.

that will help 50% reduction on the dot bounce. I have tried 10lbs recoil spring and cut 2 coils.

it soften the recoil a bit. You can google up the conversion of the factory springs from kg to lbs.

I did not find the data for the factory spring...

Why did you cut 2 coils on the 10lbs spring ?

  6. hi,

do you know what is the weight of the recoil spring from the factory ?

I feel my gun has a very soft straight back recoil, but the dot bounce is important.....Do you think it will shoot flater with a 10lbs Wolff spring ???

I am a little bit worry to damaged the pistol with a softer spring....(i shoot 168-170 PF).

    Thank

  7. :cheers::cheers:

What can I say? I have large large hands with short fingers. Recently recieved my Tanfoglio Gold Team Eric Model from Mr. Wallgren and can only say that the rest of the Open shooters don't know what they are misssing shooting the STI/SVI/Caspian?Para models. This gun is exactly what is promised OUT-OF-THE-BOX Open go to the Range and shoot gun. I added one of Henning's scope mounts + C-More with his 140mm 24 rd and 170mm 29 rounders and shot the shit out of this gun. It has a 3 1/2 lb trigger pull and fits your hand like a glove!!! You use 38 TJ brass and YOU WILL SHOOT 100% RELIABLE!!! The blast from the new V-12 configuration is HUGE but the gun tracks like a light saber. 1" groups are yours to have with smaller to come with practice! $ for $, it can't be beat and really does draw attention at the range.

I think i will buy the same pistol....What do you think about muzzle flip compare to other STI/SVI/2011 ?

  8. It will be for IPSC rules.

Yes, it will be my first open.

The gunsmith recommend me to drill 2 holes (Trubor T-2 barrel) for flatter shooting.....for him, the STI comp is not very effective to reduce muzzle flip.

    Honestly, i think i would prefer a barrel without hole...but it's only a subjective as i can't compare both
