My buddy blue edge has a vent in the 'what I like' forum covering this situtation. I'm looking for some clarification.
The shooter comes to the line. At the LAMR command the slide is operated and a jam occures because there is a snap cap in the chamber. Is this a dq? I couldn't find a rule that covers this specific situtation so I'm answering no. But I of course what the input of others. As I've certainly been known to be wrong!

I'm search for an easy to use basic stage and scoresheet design program. I'm willing to pay a reasonable price, less than $30 to me is reasonable.
I don't have power point or anything like it other than the basic 'Works'.
Can you help me out?

Yea a 'relay' is what we call them when
we shoot the same match more than once. And you are correct about the order.
I don't think we're publishing the one's we are shooting.

Louisville, Kentucky Area.
L.P.S.A. will hold a Special Classifier Match and a Rifle Side Match on Saturday the 14th of December, 2002. The Special will have 2 relays and the rifle match will take place after the 2nd relay.
There will be 4 Classifiers and an additional pistol stage. Round count for the pistol is around 100 and 24 for the rifle. And don't forget Hidden Hill Practical Shooters will be hosting a match on Sunday the 15th! It will be around 100 rounds also.
Match will start at 10:30 am with the 2nd relay and the rifle match being held as soon as the 1st relay is finished (duh
) Cost should be $15 for the first, $5 for the 2nd and $5 for the Rifle Side.

If you know you've blown the stage half way thru it, deliberately or accidentally losing safety equipment would stop you per 5.4.2 and require a reshoot. Therefore you would be able to reshoot the stage and possible correct what caused you to blow it the first time. So to prevent that there is 5.4.3 and 10.4.4.

We shot this one last Sat. I'm right-handed and chose this order T4, T3, PP2, T5 change mag then PP1, T2 and T1.
Here were my results:

6.1.3 Defines a 'Match' as 'An IPSC competition...one stage.'
6.1.4 States 'A tournament is 2 or more firearm specific matches...' and 'The total sum of the individual match results in each component match shall be accumulated to declare an overall tournament winner.'
The introduction to Section 12-USPSA Rifle & Shotgun Rules reiterates the above. '...where the combined total of the available match points are used to declare an overall competition winner.'
6.2.1 States 'A competition shall recognize at least one division.'
And 6.2.2 States 'A competition shall recognize a winner in each division.'
So I have a tournament consisting of one pistol and one rifle match. The competitors declare their divisions and I determine the winner of each division for both matches.
How do I determine the Tournament Winner? Is it as stated, the high combined total wins no matter the Divisions declared?

5.4.2 Addresses the RO 'noticing' or 'realizing' the loss of protective equipment.
What if they don't notice or realize? Say a competitor shooting rifle bumps his headgear and dislodges it but it doesn't fall off, or the earplug falls out of the side the RO can't see?
If the competitor stopped at that moment and informed you, what would you do?
If the competitor waited until they were finished then informed you, what would you do?
I understand the scoring RO or the reserve RO should have noticed and stopped the competitor but at a local match...

Competitor cocks hammer on first shot and has declared US Production Division.
I gave him one procedural. Is this correct or should he have been moved to another division? If this was the correct penalty could another for 'unfair advantage' been assessed also?

It goes back to the 'Golden Rule' of "Do unto others what you would have them do unto you."
I attended the same class as Flex did and I believe the way Arnie explained it was to avoid the 'coaching' problem, if that concerned you, was to continue to repeat the 'LAMR' command and they would eventually get the hint or ask for an explaination. This went for anything that caused them to be 'not ready', mag not inserted or whatever.
The Duties of a Range Officer are Safety, Assisting the shooter and applying the rules objectively.

I was there this evening with this post in my mind. There were six popper's, two mini's between two pair of full size about a foot apart at 31 feet. I just told myself to see what I needed to see and not wait to see what happens. Well I drew and the poppers were still falling as I finished in 4.06. This was with my fixed sight, L10 Commander in an UM Kydex holster. The open gunner was a 3.18.
I'm certainly no where near being able to do this on demand but I recorded everything in my mind for reference. And I know not to 'try' to do it again or to 'create' the thoughts I had. But I did notice things that I had never noticed before and that the only thing you can do is 'do' or 'do not'.

You can add me to the list of satisfied WST users. My scale is off some but it reads 4.4 grains of WST with a Target Barn 230gr LRN, WLP primer and various case's averages 750fps out of my 4¼" Commander bbl.

I'm running a 15# Wolfe hammer (main) spring in my L10 Commander and it hasn't failed to ignite anything I've tried, from Factory S&B to my loads w/WLP primers. The trigger pull with all factory components, other than an STI trigger, and the Series 80 parts functioning, is a little over 3.5#'s. I adjusted the sear spring per the "2 Pound Trigger Pull" article at 1911Forums. The lighter mainspring also allows less resistance for the slide to overcome when cycling.
I purchased the Wolfe variable recoil spring kit and currently run the 10# with a Wilson 2 piece guide-rod and 1 Wilson Shok-Buff. I'm getting around 2-300 rounds before it needs replacing. I've used the CP buffs but and they last a lot longer, but the softer Wilson actually 'buffs' the recoil 'Shok' that I feel and I can tell the difference. I'm going to 'dehorn' the slide at the inside of the recoil plug and hopefully that will increase the buffer life. It is not so much wearing out as it is getting 'cookie' cut. So the reason I use a shok-buff isn't just to save the frame but to absorb some of the 'felt' recoil.
I like the above combination and when I went from a 12# spring to the 10# my splits became anywhere from .16 to .22 on close to medium target's and up to around .30 on longer shots. And yes I have the required hits on the target, well 95% of the time anyway
, and the timer was recording shot count accurately. YMMV,

I'm trying to develop some COF's for indoors have high string round counts but comply with the rules as much as possible. I'm restricted in movement so a Standard Exercise would be the easiest way to go.

Those were my thoughts also. Though if I or anyone didn't see a safezone infraction there is really no rule covering action regarding what might be stated by the competitor, is there? So in effect they could take it to arbitration, correct?
