Sorry this post is late. But spoke with the CZ representative and no plans

Sometimes no plans can become plans if a company believes there to be sufficient interest.   I'd rather have a cz than a sti anyways.

    Fingers crossed

I did mine myself since I'm a machinist and putting in poppel holes is stupid simple.  3 month wait is stupid long.  I did 2 poppels for a buddy of mine recently on a Honcho and I was on and off the mill in 7 minutes.  That includes indicating in the slide.

Everybody needs a hookup like this.  Can't even find someone to checker a front strap in my area.

I do not know if this is an original quote by my wife but she often gave the kids this quote of advice when they were growing up:

"Do not go along just to get along!"

Meaning stand up for what is right even if it is not popular. If a group you are with is going to do something wrong, say something to stop it or leave. If someone is being mistreated, stand up for that person. Help them.

I hope your wife isn't designing roadways and traffic systems.

A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.

I just point a laser designator at it and let some chair jockey fly over and turn it to rubble.  Least in theory.

    Hey folks,
how do you think about the term "gunslinger"?
Is this a bad or negative word in your opinion?

    The story why I ask:
We, a couple of German IPSC - shooters, want to build a new shooting team.

So we want also make our own shirt and are searching for a team name.

I know the term "gunslinger" from the old Western movies and so on, and the German word for that might be Revolverheld (revolver hero) for example.

But one of our team members said, that "gunslingers" is kind of a negative term in the USA, like gangster or something like that.
Well, we don´t want to call ourselves gangsters, so I´m just asking.

How do you guys think about that term "gunslinger"?

    Good idea or not?

    Response would be great,
    Jay

    Teutonic Gunslingers

    Einsatzgruppen (sp)

    Killers from Kehl

German humour has always been most lacking.

My wife gave me a shirt that had my favorite saying on it. I put it in my signature block on another forum, and it ended up getting me banned because somebody "took offense".

    The saying was this:

My wife says she is a motivational speaker...... I just call it nagging.

If that is offensive, all I can say is you don't have the sense of humor you need to make 33 years of marriage like we have.

For some odd reason, American people have a fascination with being offended.  It isn't born out of any rational thought.

Currently buying remanufactured 9mm 147gr for $0.25/round with a power factor of 139. I'm getting remanufactured 135gr 9mm with a PF of 128 for 32 cents a round shipped. I can't tell a noticeable difference between the two and both have been flawless for a 4-5000 rounds so far. My plan has been to use the lower power factor for matches only, and I'm trying to do 3-4 events a month. Then using the 147gr for practice and bowling pin matches as well as a backup if I run out of the 135gr. I usually shoot 2-3 times a week including matches. I'm trying to decide in todays gun climate how much is enough to keep on hand. Right now I have about 5000 rounds of the 147, and 800 of the 135's. What do you guys keep on hand and what's your lower limit before you reorder? Lately I've been ordering twice a month and I can save some money on shipping if I start to order more quarterly.

    Shooting weekly and matches?  15-20k

What Mrs Colorado doesn't know, won't be hurting her.  Wimmins are frivolous and buy things that would be charitably described as useless.

So, I shoot CO with 34s. If I had to do it over again, I’d start out with 17s. In CO you no longer  need the longer sight radius that a 34 provides. You can make up for the loss in weight by adding a tungsten guide rod and a heavy mounted flashlight. I’ve never shot a Shadow Systems pistol, but I have owned a Zev. That being said, I’ve found that Glocks really have perfected the platform and their simplicity can’t be beat. Hope this helps.

    Yeah, glock perfection t a t, 5 times over 40 years now.

Glocks are like Harley motorbykes.  People buy them, replace half of them, and then say how perfect they are. (But not in production of course)

    Hey all,

I've had my eyes on an Atlas Titan for a while now but I'm having trouble saving money for one. Something always comes up. You guys have any tips and tricks when it comes to sid gigs and saving money for new toys?

    Kind regards,

    AndyG

I started a civil rights group and extorted 60 million dollars by blaming a drug overdose on the police and pale people.

Jk, someone else did that, but it would get you a SVI, an Atlas, an Akai, and a Stan Chen

Some people just develop an unfortunate preference for that hand.   Defective sorts they are and all

  12. Guess they'll have to start making them out of that Wakanda Vibranium

I believe a good weld and blending job would repair it.  Can't say it would last forever, but I'm not a metallurgical guy or in a machine shop.  Weld shouldn't be significantly costly either.

You might ask the people who made it for their opinion.   They'll have more experience with it.

Back in 2004/2005 I had SV build me a custom sight tracker limited gun.  It was a beauty, and I enjoyed shooting it for a couple of years, then for reasons unknown to me, I started shooting Glocks and found them more comfortable for me to shoot, and I've been shooting them ever since.  I put the SV away and haven't touched it since.  I don't regret that purchase one bit, I still love the gun, I just don't shoot it.  It's still the coolest, most expensive gun I own, and one day my two kids can draw straws to see who gets it.

I heard that's how the inquisition was began
