  1. Reviving this thread. Does anyone have insight on whether Leupold ever plans to have a larger dot reticle in the future? With all the other companies making larger dots it seems inconceivable they dont have any choices other than the one size. I am wondering whether I should keep sending back dead 7.5 or have my gun cut for a different mount.

  2. When I first got my SF Pro I thought the trigger felt pretty good for off the shelf.

After shooting the gun for a while, now the trigger feels gritty.

If there a link anywhere with parts to improve the trigger over the factory trigger?

  3. Searching around for ideas on the possible cause of early lock open with my SCS 3/2 combo on a short stroke GMR 15.

This thread seems like a good place to ask why a bolt might lock open after only firing a few rounds at speed. When examining the stoppage, the chamber is free and clear of the last round spent and the top round in the magazine is sitting like its the first round in a fresh magazine. No visible reason for the lock back. All that is necessary to bring the gun back into action is to close the bolt again and chamber that round. This has occurred 5 or 6 times but can not be recreated by doing anything in particular when troubleshooting.

Thoughts? Anyone seen this on their JP?

  4. At least SASS is out in the open about their members wearing costumes out in public.

Photographers vests look as silly as wearing your belt backwards so you can hang more junk on your pants.

What amazing are the number of mediocre shooters that go out of their way to collect sponsors to plaster all over their clothing.

Yup, that $10 wood sure looks better on your wall than the certificate from night school. And then the meaningful string of hashtags at the end of the Facebook posts that remind us of the 50 seconds of health warnings after 10 seconds of commercials at dinner time.

Seems folks are tired of with the messages justifying why things are always changing.

  5. The Cup has been a high quality and rewarding match the last 2 years. I'm pretty local it's 2 hrs away for me. However I'm not going this year, without insight to the stages/prizes/talent to show up I'm choosing not to attend. I feel that since they didn't drop the price or announce any changes it doesn't have the value that it's had before.

However I could be wrong, some top level shooters around my area think it'll be the best match ever had there just because. I do know that it used to fill up within a week after application opening but I don't think it's full and it's been 2 months since registration started.

Hit the nail on the head. What is the point.

  6. No longer IDPA??

From all the word, the answer is NO. And that takes most of the motivation out of the reason to pay and attend. Outlaw matchs and rules subject to who knows what. Have fun.

  7. It sure seems pretty dead over there. You would think being the "official" forums and with a new rule book out there would be a lot of activity over there. It seems like only about 10-15 member are active on that forum.

Kinda like the USPSA forums, then?

Only it hasn't been hacked yet.

  8. Your experience supports maybe they have that issue worked out. That's encouraging. And I agree about mechanical sights. They need attention too. So now we have to see what is allowed in competition.

Out of curiosity, how many rounds a week do you fire with the Rds ? Are you a heavy shooter?

  9. I understand the optics don't hold their zero reliably enough for wider acceptance. People in the decision making process have been waiting for the manufacturers to resolve their 'previously unknown' issues. They are spinning in the mean time.

But it is simply a matter of time before they reach that point. Maybe wider use in visible markets will inspire them since the other side of that will be all the complaints going viral.

I am reminded of the EOTech battery problems that were spun as user errors for years while they redesigned their product.

    Now they are good.

  10. The people who are hurt the most are those who did all the right things as members and are now in a lower place or class as the result of the outcome.

This is another +2 as far as they are concerned.
