I ran across this post this morning while searching for the newspaper that covered the first Big Bear Leatherslap. I was in that match and it would be very kind of you to share any photos you can. A really good buddy of mine showed me a flyer advertising the shoot and even offered to lend me his .38 army special. We were both teenage high schoolers and this was an adventure of a lifetime. I have a newspaper clipping of the shoot and I've even acquired the army special I used that day. My clipping is laminated and it would be super to get the full page of the paper we cut it out of. Of course, I have memories of that very unforgettable day for a teenager. I would be happy to send a copy of the clipping if your are interested. My e is knightsong@mail.com.
