Thought it was good. Liked the fact that I didn't catch an obvious part of the storyline right from the start. Usually I am pretty quick to pick things out. Pretty cool ending. I think it's Denzel's best since Man on Fire.

I thought it was ok. It wont be my favorite of 2010, I am sure, but it was worth seeing <_< . To many things that for me were not convincing (such as the condition the OP was eluding too). And he used a certain weapon on several occasions, that was not anywhere to be found between uses. Where did he have that hidden away??? (surely not in his pack).

Big screen worthy or DVD??? tuff call.

I thought it was pretty good, just because of the ending. I like movies that you think you have them figured out and then

in the end they have a huge twist. This movie could have been better, but if you go in with low expectations then you will like it. For me if a movie has a low rating then i usually like it. I would probadly wait for dvd.

Brought to you by Oakley. B)

I was expecting more thus a bit disappointed, but Denzel was good (not Man on Fire or training Day good, but good nonetheless) and Oldman was as well. Mila was alright but after so many years of "That 70's Show" and "Family Guy" I just can't get past her voice. As fourtrax indicated, nice twist that I didn't catch. The aerial views in the desert were good, very apocalyptic, craters, blast marks, etc. However, the big city at the end was lacking.

My favorite scene wasn't a fight or explosion but "the joy of new shoes" ;)

Did I enjoy it? Yes. Will I buy it when it comes out in dvd? Maybe.

The handle sticking up on the left side of his head was a taped shotgun buttstock. The weapon you are referring too was probably carried Crocodile Dundee style.

"Thats not a knife, now thats a knife" (In my best australian accent). But---I,m not refering to his knife/machette/kukra edged weapon. The one i am curious where he carried it had a string.

I enjoyed it on the big screen and don't think I would have liked it nearly as much on DVD. The aerial views and the whole sort of muted color effect (don't know what to call it) seems to me to be best enjoyed that way. I love apocalyptic vision (TEOTWAWKI) movies and the faith based hero and plot was a nice twist on that.

Saw it last night and I liked the movie with it's fight and shootout scenes. Saw the HBO - First Look - on the making of Eli which was good setup for watching the movie. Wife and I discussed it on way home with questions of: Gas still available after all that time & land still bare with no regrowth after 30 years.

I like the movie. It was not "OMG" good, but a good tale with a great twist at the end.

Big screen and DVD? It is a good story that does not depend on big action, it will be fine in DVD, though I liked it on the big scree.

Spoiler Alert!!!

I liked the movie, the fight scenes were really cool. I wish that I could shoot strong hand only as good as his character could.

Heck with that I wish I could shoot that good with both hands. My wife picked up on the fact that he was blind early on, I didn't get that till we were talking on the way home. Also I didn't pick up on the Koran or is it Coran being next to the Bible when it was put on the shelf with other "religious books".

It took him 30 years to walk to the west coast, sure because he was only guided by faith could not see where he was going.

The movie was ok, I'd like to see it again, since I apparently missed half of it, according to the Wife.

Mod edit,

I haven't seen this movie, but I'm guessing what I've placed in the spoiler block is the twist at the end everyone is talking about. Folks please use the spoiler option!!!

Liked it. Made me think about it at the end,...I thought about the clues. He used an HK45, which is cool...with a magic 20rd mag (not cool)

I kind of liked it. The general theme of "God doesn't sponsor people to have them fail" caught my attention.

Eli was a man who was truly led by Faith.

I saw it last night with my wife.. She doesn't usually like DW but we thought he really shined in this one.. It's nice to see him picking up grittier movies lately.

OK I missed something about the hands, was something tattooed on the dead guys hands at the start? and is that why the store guy wanted to see the back of his hands?

Mod Edit,

Please use the spoiler option. Thanks.

I definitely enjoyed it! He was a righteous man w/ a mission. This is one of my favorites that have come out in the past couple years. The two things i didn't like were the cheesy fight choreography and his pistol that had an enormous mag. The old couple were hilarious. I'm glad it wasn't as gory as The Road. His faith was one of the greatest parts of the film. It's another inspiration to live a good life before God, die a good death.

Saw it today. A thinker of an action film...now when have we been able to say that recently? Worth the price of admission, for sure.

Just got to see this one.

I liked it. Unfortunately I knew the twist at the end because of the earlier post that I put in spoiler tags. Please use the spoiler tags! Good visuals, good acting. Best of all was the quality of the story. Uncommon these days, especially for an action flick!

We just caught it on PPV. Liked it. Oldman is always a joy.

And the girl from "That 70's Show" did not completely suck. :)

I give it 2-1/2 out of 4 stars.

Saw it at the movie theater and liked it. My wife is waiting for it to come out on dvd she wants to see it again. After seeing the end I'm curious to watch it one more time to see if I can catch what i missed the first time.

IIRC you got the shakes real bad and go crazy and/or die from eating people. People ask to see the hands to see if they shake.

I could be wrong, but here is what I thought I remembered about what Alamo asked.
