JimmyZip Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Was wondering if any of you who have shot both the Glock and other platforms have noticed the change in your shoulders and head that the grip angle induces as compared to 1911/CZ/etc. I have noticed that the grip angle has me placing my head lower, and my arms straighter than with either my BHP or CZ TS. I have not seen this yet as a disadvantage as I really am not practicing with it but just getting familiar with it. I am interested to hear others thoughts on this. JZ
Duane Thomas Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I have never noticed any difference in body/arm/head position between how I shoot a Glock or a 1911. And honestly, I don't really care if there is a difference. If there is, it's taking care of itself to the point I don't even notice it, so why worry about it?
LPatterson Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Comparing the presentation in front of a mirror, I do not see any difference in head to gun alignment. The grip angle difference is so small that it should only be noticable if you are locking your elbows at full entension. Allowing the elbows to flex slightly has allowed me to adapt better between a revolver, 1911 and a Glock.
JimmyZip Posted January 19, 2010 Author Posted January 19, 2010 Not really worried at all. Just thought it interesting. Hasn't really affected how I shoot. I seem to be able to hit with the thing just fine. I would consider this pistol more than accurate enough, even with me behind it.
