open17
Looking for a set of 1911 slim grips in colors. Probably purple. Wife has Navridex Black Rosewood double diamond's on her 9mm 1911. Wants to dress it up a bit and she really likes purple! I can find some colored grips, but not in slim grips. Any ideas? Dymondwood, Micarta, even anodized aluminum, double diamond (prefered) or full checkered slim grips. Gun has a S&A magwell.
Braxton1
I have never seen purple from them, but I know that Carbon Creations makes colored grips from Carbon Fiber. It is not an "intense" color, per se, but they are NICE!! Give them a call. If they don't stock it, they may be able to custom-tint one for you. ben b.
I'd email or call Larry Davidson and see what he thinks, and if he can source purple Micarta or G10. Check the 2nd grips in yellow micarta. there may be hope. http://www.davidsonknives.com/grips/gallery.htm
MTBfarms
One option is, you can pick out which ever grip you like then send them to Freedom Gunworks. Bobby will paint them to look like what you want.
Aircooled6racer
Hello: Carbon Creations can make you purple grips. Larry White had a set of pink grips made for a lady friend of his. Freedon Gunworks could also paint some for you as well. Thanks, Eric
