New STI magazine problems

Hey guys, I just recieved a new magazine (126mm) from Brazzo's for my STI Eagle 5.0 and I seem to have a problem with it. For some reason it wont lock the slide back on the last round. I have 5 other magazines and they all work fine. Any suggestions?

TIA

Hey thanks guys! The follower is just the standard STI follower. The one thing that I did notice is that the followers on all of the other mags do come up higher (which I thought was just from overall use for the last 6 months). The follower in this mag is not recessed but flush with the top of the mag.

I will look in to the chamfer on the follower. The worst that can happen is that I need to replace it :)

Thanks again!

I've never had much sucess with the STI followers in magazines that need to lock back. For magazines that lock back I like the Grams followers and springs. They will generally require fitting to get them to lock back consistently. Without fitting they will lock back with one round left. They are easy to fit but you must go slowly.

If you kill it, drop me a note....I think I have some stock followers you can have for the cost of shipping. R,

Sounds like you may have a modified follower in that magazine, I see this is an option offered for the Brazos tuned mags.

from the Brazos site 1911store:

"Would you like us to modify the follower so that your slide does not lock back? (See below for more info)*

If your gun is set up to not lock back, we can modify the follower (without compromising capacity) so that your slide does not lock back. Please indicate your preference above. If you experience problems with premature slide lock back, please note that the pawl of your slide stop may need to be adjusted. Refer to the link below on setting up your gun for slide lockback or not."
