So, here's a fun question... In the set of stages for the match, there are 12 stages - but there's only 11 stages on the squad schedule? I'm guessing that either Stages 1 and 2 are in the same bay and shot as one spot in the rotation, or one of those 12 is not in the match? If the latter, which stage got "tossed"??

I was thinking Speed 1 and Speed 2 were probably in the same bay. This is not based on anything, just a guess.

Can someone tell me if the range has indoor plumbing? In other words, something other than port a pottys?

One of the range buildings does have a regular restroom. Whether or not it is open during the match, that is another story.

The weekend is upon us. Figured I would put up a list of decent places for food/drink for the out of town guys. No particular order.

1. Silver Star Smokehouse off of Benton Road in Bossier. Good BBQ and burgers. No alcohol though. Very odd because they are right near a liquor store.

2. Country Tavern BBQ off of Bert Kouns in Shreveport. Pretty much same good food. Cold beer and cute waitresses. On the other side of town from the match hotels though.

3. Superior Grill off Line Ave in Shreveport. Awesome tex-mex. Kickass margaritas. Will be busy on the weekend though.

4. Vikki and Company in the old Shreve City area off of Shreveport-Barksdale Hwy. Huge burgers. Probably the best in town. Don't serve beer, but you can get beer from the neighboring bar and bring it in.

5. Crawfish Palace in Haughton. Haven't eaten there this year, so I don't know how the prices/quality are. Last year the crawfish were good. Cold beer.

6. Crawfish Hole #2 in Dixie Inn. Some of the best crawfish in the area. Probably 10-15 minutes from the range. Prices are usually decent.

7. Blind Tiger in downtown Shreveport off Texas St. Good bar food and drinks. Pretty good seafood.

8. Fat Boy's Bar and Grill off Centenary in Shreveport. Good burgers. Kind of on the edge of a bad neighborhood.

As always, there are the casinos. Most of them are pretty good. All of the these are guy places and a bunch of shooters would fit in fine. If you want to know any nicer places if you have the wife, let me know and I'll post them up. Anyway, hope this helps a little or at least gets the competition hungover for the match.

Anyone know when registration is at the range? Already sent in my registration and money, and am squadded, just wondered if there was a set time to pick up my packet for the match at the range.

This was a hat trick for me; a stage win, a class win, and a high lady win. This match is one that I'll always remember.

So....

A big thank you to Tom, Wayne, Joy and David Hyden, Al, Lee, Ken, and all the match staff for their work. Thanks Mr. Skinner for the frame! Definitely feeling the love with STI's sponsorship of the match! If I missed anyone, please know that I appreciate your efforts. The people in IPSC are a class above! Thank you to my squad mates - you all are the best! I'm grateful for your friendship. Thank you Kay for the hospitality today at lunch. And Athena, I gotta tell you, diet coke ain't paleo! <wicked grin> I was happy to catch up with Ms. Munson as well. Your support through the years has meant a lot. This was a fab weekend; shooting, friends, food and fun. God, I love this game!

I want to thank all the shooters who came by my vendors table, which was pretty much every shooter, I got to meet some great people, and it made the trip well worth it. I was able to mention my new business to people who had no clue there was another person selling USPSA/3gun Products.

Also a big thanks to all the staff, especially the RO's for dealing with the heat for 4 days. I know it is tough work, they did an excellent job with what they had. I also want to thank the guys on the golf carts for saving our lives, with the water and the gatorade!!!!

Thank to all the sponsors of the match, with out them the match wouldn't be possible.

As far as the match, It was fun shooting with my team mates and see the skills that they have. I shot the worst match I have ever shot in my life, But still had a good time with the guys. The stages were good and straight forward, but was not a hosing match by any means. It was good to shoot with Kale "Big Country" Garretson, Wesley, Jordan, definately some good and up and comming talent. I am proud to have those guys on our Team.
