-JQ-
I love my job. I love the work I do. I REALLY like my boss. But we recently hired another "expert" at a higher level than me...now I can't justify my existence (maybe too strong there). Work has slowed and the new guy is a "tool" and keeps asking me to "talk Kentucky" for him...WTF?! I suggested he rent "Next of Kin" Part of the issue is not "blowing my own horn" enough, new guy beats his chest frequently...I do same work - I just do the work without the fanfare. I just sent my boss a "come to Jesus" meeting email...we'll find out tomorrow afternoon. He said he wanted to talk to me too...and said he understands where I'm coming from...he really is a great guy - but... I wish my photo-stuff would pay the bills, but right now it isn't quite breaking even...everyone with a camera-phone is a photog now days. I was looking for a job when I found this one...I also know it could be worse. Thanks for listening

00bullitt
I feel for you as I know what its like to not enjoy going to work. But look on the bright side. You've got a job. I've been out of work for 15 months now and exhausted my complete retirement savings to survive. I'd gladly trade places with you for half your salary at this point in time. I was self employed with a great income and strong business. I never saw myself where I am today. I hope your come to Jesus meeting pays off in your favor.
