G-ManBart
So we have an idiot who claims to be AQ related try to detonate an explosive on an airplane coming to Detroit....that's not a good start. I'm reasonably close to the airport...like 20-25min, so I would have been one of the first people there. I'm puttering around the house all day and never get any sort of alert to what's going on until waaaay late. Seems I never got the initial text notification on my Blackberry and totally missed a chance to do something interesting. I did get a follow up notification, but by then it was too late. My BB has been acting up lately and our tech folks tried to fix it the other day (it seemed to be working properly) but I guess it's not. Rats.....I hate when technology takes a header
jasmap
That sucks! I wish you could have been a part of the interview/arrest. Edited December 26, 2009 by jasmap
ima45dv8
I hate you missed out on what would have probably been a good gig. For the last couple of days, the national press has been reporting that there have been problems with BlackBerry's service. Timing is everything... caz41
We have the old school pagers that seem to work when they feel like it, I have missed several call outs this year because of them.
JimmyZip
Gman, Wife and I heard this as a breaking report on the radio today. We decided that if we were ever faced with the threat of death by explosion for just sitting there, or just the possibility while trying to do something,(and possibly getting to kick someone 's fanny LEGALLY ) we would opt for action. We actually made a pact right there and then. I can't beleive that we are the first to have this conversation at all. I don't think that being a hijacker on a plane full of Americans is ever going to be a good idea again. WE WILL KICK YOUR F&*^(NG A$$! I've got alot of anger issues with the economy and all. With the wife being unable to get in some serious retail therapy for the last two years, well I can assure you she would let fly!
Graham Smith
The very thing that makes a BB so efficient is also it's greatest weakness - everything is routed through one giant high power super duper computer array in Canada. And it's been staggering under the load for the past few weeks. As a result, there have been a lot of outages.
bubbadoc
Definately a love/ hate relationship between me and my Crackberry. Absolutely indespensible until it is.... so to say. Seems like there have been a lot of outages as of late with service, not only with the main Canadian server but with our company server. Don't know if it is load related or ??? I think we are still seeing the fall out from that. Edited December 29, 2009 by salilus

MarkCO
So the "alert" to get Fed agents moving comes on the BB? That sounds kind of scary to me.
