olp73
I wonder if someone has any experience with brass base pads? I am looking for something that can take al little more beating than ordinary aluminum pads. Since I shoot IPSC standard division and use the wedge pads they are pretty thin and look like shit after they have been dropped a few times. Especially indoor concrete floors are hard on the pads. anyone?
cyburg
Limcat made some in brass and some in aluminum. I have the aluminum and love them. Check out the limcat site you will see JJ Racaza in ahttp://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2928/1114/1600/LIMCATBRASSPIX_sm.0.jpg Edited January 27, 2010 by cyburg
al503
Will your shooting buddies object if you cut out some rubber/old computer mouse pad and stick it to the bottom of your mags with double sided masking tape or anything? You can pull them off to show that it fits in the box and just stick them back on when you're shooting. Unless it's something more than a monthly local match, I don't think many would have an issue with trying to make your equipment look/last longer. cyburg
The other side of the game is, "Looking Good", I look at it this way. Do I want to look good while shooting, but worrying about what my base pads look like. Or the faces of my competitors as they get smoked by the guy with scratched up base pads?
