Alan Adamson
Yes, Ive searched, but found no specific references to good, bad, or ugly. I still keep tripping up on one thing. The reticle ins in the front plane, so it scales with the zoom to 4... Yes I know it's only 1 or 4, nothing in between. This whole thing got me to thinking about scaled reticles and which focal plane they are on. Why wouldn't you want to the reticle to scale on zoom, wouldn't that better represent where your hold should be for a given zoom or an I just paint missing some fundamental issue with reticles, hold overs, etc.? I do also know the reticle isn't fully daylight visable. I have one of their other scopes and I'm sure it works the same way. Thanks in advance, Curious of the scope in use and then the discussion on Front/rear for the reticle, etc. Alan - a self described beginner! Sterling White
For the pitty visit with P. E. Kelley. He's using it. I'm giving the 1.5x8 a go and enjoying it so far.

I thought the optic looked interesting, but I talked to a fellow who said (as you noted) that the illumination was not sufficiently visible in daylight, so he returned it. I thought the optic looked interesting, but I talked to a fellow who said (as you noted) that the illumination was not sufficiently visible in daylight, so he returned it. I'm working on that... I found P. E. Kelleys profile and sent him an email, he has 2 of from what I can tell likes them alot. I have another IOR and 4-15x50 on a sniper build and if the illumination is the same it is not visible in direct daylight. It's not meant to be a red-dot type scope, but any hint of reduced light and the reticle shines. What I like the best is the reticle, it's a CQB with horizon lines and the stadia tree is *dead nuts* on at 450 yrds according to Patrick. Trying to figure out how far of it would be for 55 or 69 gr bullets, it's built for 62 from what little I can tell. One other thing that favors this scope tho is the turrets, while not like the balistic ones that Swaro offers, they are pretty good and made for dope adjustment. Anyway, jury is still out, and I"m curious what is going to be announced at the Shot show from the various manufactures, but I simply don't have the bucks for a Swaro right now and so this looks interesting. Couple of notes, a) it's not exactly a wicked light scope it's not a 1-4 variable, it a 1 or a 4x zoom only. Hope this little bit of info helps. esskay
Thanks, good point on Shot, it's so close now and surely some new announcements will come. I had also heard that Leopold might have some interesting new optics, we'll see!
00bullitt
Over on AR15.com in this thread BigJimFish does a pretty darn good review of the Pitbull as well as many other in depth user reviews of low power optics. Its several pages with some good info I thought worth linking to here.
