Ok here goes.. I am brand new to the World of Dillion presses not reloading...

I have used ever press from a Lee to a RCBS... I thought I could never afford a Dillon ,but finally bit the bullet. I want to see what all the hype is about..

Currently im awating a new RL550B to arrive....

Is there any advice that would help a new guy with setup ect?

Id also like the thank Brian Enos for answering a million questions for me...

If it is not straightforward, follow the directions. I bought a used one and it was pretty easy to setup. I did need to read the directions when it came to setting up the dies and powder measure setup.

Enjoy!

I bought the 550 from Brian as well. The best shooting related purchase I have ever made. Read the instructions when you get it but until then read all you can in the Dillon reloading section here and set up will be a breeze. And if you have questions after that just pop on here and ask. The worst answer you will get is, "use the search function", but you will get your questions answered for sure.

And welcome to the best forum around!

I have a 550B also and here is what I did.I left the 550B manual in my reading room where my family knows not to disturb me (the bathroom) and studied it cover to cover(IMHO you are making controled explosions, when discussing any part of the process or machine you should not refer to anything as the thingamagig or watchimacallit). You may want to download the 650 manual from Dillon's website (different machine, little more detail on some steps).

Dillon support really is great. The only time you will understand the no BS warranty is when you call and are very pleasantly surprised.

This forum has an unbelievable amount of information, enjoy the hours and hours of reading and searching.

Welcome and best of luck.
