BritinUSA
You say that you moved the dot up, but you need to move the dot to where the bullet impacted, ie. if the shots are going low then you need to move the dot downward, or am I misreading your post? Also, did you release the locking screw(s) before adjusting the sight? Edited December 27, 2009 by BritinUSA

mookman
get a 1* shim from JP. thanks for replies, when i say moved the dot, i moved it to raise point of impact, i dont know if jpoint shims will work as they have four mounts on the shim and the sts has two, hope that makes sense i cant get my hands on one to look at as i live in spain and small red dots are rare. ive spoken to cmore and they have been really helpfull , but no real answer yet, i guess i may have to return it, strange thing is if i put it on top of an 8 foot piece of box section it goes to point of aim.... maybe theres something else wrong that i cant see because im looking to hard... Supermoto
Yep, the Jpoint 1* will not work if you are using a STS mount, sorry about that. I was using a Jpoint mount with a STS adapter plate. You would have to grind off the 4 tabs on the 1* for it to work

Yardbird
I just got an STS last week and had no issues mounting it and sighting it in. Shot a match with it this weekend. It is an excellent sight. Edited February 23, 2010 by Yardbird

Yardbird
The part that fits in the dovetail was very loose, but the sight was very solid once it was screwed down.
BMcC
The part that fits in the dovetail was very loose, but the sight was very solid once it was screwed down. Got the sts Friday went to the range Saturday. The first few were low adjusted sight about 1 turn and was dead on. The sun was out bright and the 7 dot was easy to see, have a uspsa match next weekend see how i down in competition with it. Got the Taylor 10 round extension for first mag so that should help with less reloads. Did any of you with the sts use blue loctite on the two allen head bolts after sighting in? Thanks, Billy
