dcarter
Two days ago I was working the front desk at District 1 and got a call from the local pipe fitters union. One of our newest officers who was sent off to Afganistan shortly after getting out of the police academy was killed while attempting to defuse an IED. This new officer was a member of the pipe fitters union before coming to the police department and the union got a call from his wife shortly after she found out. I never met him because he was gone before I transfered into D-1 but from what I've seen from my fellow officers he was well liked. I won't post his name and I don't have any facts about his life (wife, kids, etc.). I just wanted people to know that Christmas is going to be a little harder for some this year. Pray for them.
