NRAActionPistol Posted December 15, 2009 Author Posted December 15, 2009 So what is the Pro-Am? Chuck, Starting this year, we added a Pro-Am (Professional-Amateur) Event before Event V - The Speed Event, it's a fun event for Professional Shooters, (that sponsor the Championship) Industry Reps, Celebrities and members of the Press. In a perfect world we would expect (4) four shooters each. It's a great event for the spectators to see, the partisipants have a good time because it's for fun only. This year we all watched Max Michel shoot a World Record score of 1.7 seconds at the Pro-Am...Amazing! Hope that answered your question. Tom...
motorcycle_dan Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 2010 NRA Bianchi Cup ”Sponsored By MidwayUSA” Tentative Schedule of Events Tom, I'm trying to talk my Son-in-Law into coming to the Cup with me for the first time. I know they are offering some significant prizes or money in the production class. Is there a list? Specifically we would both be first time Cup people and new shooters, I don't have any NRA AP competition under my belt. Limited USPSA (D-Class) revolver but carry and Expert bullseye card both indoor and out. Is there a list of prizes available?

Dan, First of all, I want to thank you for advertising this Sport on the Bulls-Eye List, it just may be a first on there, the only way we can get more people out shooting is for ALL of us to advertise it! This sounds great, if you try it, as some of my friends on here will tell you, you WILL like it. You are a NRA Conventional Pistol shooter so you already have a NRA Classification. Unfortunately, we do not have a prize list yet, but I can tell you that the Production Competitor that places 50th will get $75.00 and whatever prizes are awarded as well. The shooters on here would know better where to shoot, as there are matches and clubs that run NRA AP, that I don't know about. Call me, we can talk about this, and I will be more then happy to fill you in with the logistics. The shooters on here, are just as helpful as the BL, they and John Bianchi are why I do what I do. I am looking forward to meeting you, and getting some BE shooters on the ground in Columbia! Tom...
motorcycle_dan Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 thank you for advertising Bulls-Eye List, I am looking forward to meeting you, and getting some BE shooters on the ground in Columbia! Tom... I don't want to mention any one in particular but bringing up Action pistol on the bullseye list is controversial at best. Sort of like wearing a santa claus outfit to a jewish festival. Some will be offended. I say their loss but that's me. As far as meeting you, I think... I may have met you at Camp Perry last summer. I was the fat bald guy with the geezer cart and old Pachmayr shooting box... (Just described about 80% of the firing personnel at Perry.) I was wandering around lost and looking for information about Action pistol and the distinguished program. Had a pretty blonde with me. (The lady Beth) And unless I lost it that day, had my "USN SCPO retired" hat on. Either way look forward to it.
