JAYBRO
I have a Model 41 that I would like to use for some informal Bullseye shooting. Can someone please recomend an aftermarket grip for such purposes. Thanks in advance. Edited December 14, 2009 by JAYBRO
Jaxshooter
Herrett makes an excellent grip for the Model 41. It is just like shooting a 1911, even has a slightly arched mainspring area.
G-ManBart
Herrett makes an excellent grip for the Model 41. It is just like shooting a 1911, even has a slightly arched mainspring area. I think they actually call the flat version the 1911 trainer and the arched something else. For whatever reason, the arched one feels like a 1911 with a flat mainspring housing (to me) and the flat one feels just a little different. For pure bullseye they may not be the best choice as lots of folks prefer grips with grooves for each finger etc, but for informal stuff they'd work nicely. These Herrett's are pretty cool and reasonably inexpensive: http://www.bullseyegear.com/bullseyepistol...at=9&page=1 Edited December 15, 2009 by G-ManBart

gmantwo
If you decide you like shooting bullseye with the 41 and want to invest in a custom set of grips, Larry's guns in Maine sells some amazing grips. larrysguns.com
earplug
Herrett makes a adjustable grip for the M-41 called the National. I have a set for my 1911 too. They are nice functional grips that you might want to modify for your hand. Online price is about $70.00. So you can dremel in comfort and add your own finger grooves, relieve wood for your trigger finger, remove a little wood for a higher grip and reduce the overal size if wanted. If right handed, cut off the left side bottom of the stocks flush with the grip frame for easier mag loading. I also cut more clearance for the slide stop and mag release. For the price you can't go wrong.
