powder check failure

Hi,

Noticed the powder check didn't beep when it should have. I took out the battery and put it back in. It's been working without problems since, that was a few weeks ago. it's a new battery. Not the biggest deal since i visually check for powder before I put the bullet in the case. But catching it not working is in the back of my head. What could the problem be/have been? What should I check or clean?

Try cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser. My low primer sensor does the same thing every once in a while. You might also just rotate the battery against the contacts, doesn't hurt to check before the start of every session.

Do as you should do with your smoke alarms, replace the batteries yearly. I do it New Years Day between football games.

Use Dura-Cell they have better life and are better out of the package.

Thanks I'll try cleaning the contacts. The batteries were a couple of weeks old.
