Merlin Orr Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Anyone know of any online XD trigger job DIY instructions. Feeling froggy and want to see if I can do a nice trigger on my new XD truck gun...
mike cyrwus Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Can you TIG? If not, youre pretty much stuck buying some parts from Springer or powder river.
Merlin Orr Posted December 15, 2009 Author Posted December 15, 2009 Thanks, Mike. I think the wisest course of action is to send it to a pro. (follow my own advise.....)
Classic_jon Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 One of the guys in my club did a DIY on his with a dremel, polishing compound, an allen set screw, and a drill. I don't know exactly how he did it but I can ask if you are interested. He showed it to me and the set screw is in the trigger bar and can be adjusted to reduce the reset length of the trigger. I think he may have ordered a replacement trigger bar as well in case he messed up
Loves2Shoot Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 (edited) We have some videos on our site that you could take a look at. Edited December 16, 2009 by Loves2Shoot
TexasAA Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 We put a Springer trigger kit in our XD 9mm. Made a world of difference. Nice and crisp. Reduced the pull and reset. Did not work right out of the box. Took very little filing to make it work. Had it all done in an hour. If we ever get another XD we will definitely do this again.
