Calmwater
I saw Duane say something in a recent post about an article and realized he must write. I know this was not news to most of you but I am kind of dense(not news about Duane or that I am dense). When I got my new Blue press today I saw a shooter with a Glock in the article at the center and happened to notice Duane Thomas as the author. Cool article and nice putting a face on the Daredevil! 3quartertime
Duane is a writer? I always thought he was one of those cats that would sit in his closet with the lights out and read comic books with one of those ball caps with the flash lights on the bill... Huh, never made the connection...
Nik Habicht
I always thought he was one of those cats that would sit in his closet with the lights out and read comic books with one of those ball caps with the flash lights on the bill... That's probably accurate, given that his writings come off as geeky, fan-boy love at least some of the time.... Duane, Mas Ayoob, and Chris Christian were my three biggest influences during the four year period where I was learning about guns before buying the first one.... Sarge
Hey, I haven't received my copy yet!!!!!! We must not be on the "special" list. I usually get mine several days after somebody here says they got theirs.
SiG Lady
I do manage to get my Front Sight on time, though. Often before other folks. Special list, I guess.

3quartertime
Hey, I haven't received my copy yet!!!!!! We must not be on the "special" list. I usually get mine several days after somebody here says they got theirs. Y'all must have missed the title of this thread. ' Blue Press today, Seeing Duane's centerfold' I'm not sure everyone on the mailing list will be getting a copy. Before the first circulation Duane set forth his minions (ie, he bribed the rogue mod squad with Christmas cookies) to swipe all the copies we could across the country before they made it to the homes and businesses en masse. He said he was embarrassed that his mother would see his 'centerfold' and giggle. Not because of seeing her son wearing nothing but a couple of staples, but because of a story the storyteller told us years ago when the forum was just a glint of what it is today. You see one late night years ago about this time of year Duane was hitting the eggnog a bit too hard and let it slip that as a youngster he would always make his mom buy him shoes that were 5 sizes too big. No doubt his mother must have been thinking her average of stature son must have been quite gifted considering how big his shoes were! So Duane fearing that the shock of seeing how small his feet actually are would set his poor mother into such a fit of giggling she might never recover had all possible copies sequestered... And now you know the rrrrrrrrrrrrest of the story!!!

Nemo
Good writing as always, Mr. Thomas. Looking good all tactically blacked out. Need to send the frame of your glasses to Scott Springer and have them IonBonded. Not sure about the hat, though...
Graham Smith
I just think we should be happy he's not on the cover. I'm not sure I'm ready to see him wearing something low cut and revealing <shiver>.
