ChuckS Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 The electric leaf blower smoked today so I took a look online to see what's available. I found a cheapie at WalMart but I don't think I want to pull the extension cord for the 735 AMP motor around... http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?...3#ProductDetail
Paul Santiago Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I fixed the majority of my leaf problem.... I removed them at the source. I had the 2 maples and blue spruce removed. Now if I could get my neighbor to do the same. You'd think he'd come into my yard and get his leaves. I have no trees so I should have no leaves. I've been toying with the idea of going to the property line and cutting straight up.
JimmyZip Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 What size cable to handle the amps? A BIG ONE!
boz1911 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I have to wait until Wednesday to blow leaves.............my neighbors aren't home then

Graham Smith Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 If that's for light yard cleanup, you'd probably need a 10KW diesel generator for a big job.
ChuckS Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 If that's for light yard cleanup, you'd probably need a 10KW diesel generator for a big job. Actually, I figure it to be more like 88.2 KVa (Assuming 120 Volts). Maybe Ted Nugent would have a trailer to spare?
COMATZD Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 If you do a straight conversion (100% of electrical energy to work) that comes to about 120 hp. I'm not sure I'd want to hang on to that without wheels attached somewhere!
Chris Keen Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 That way you dont have to wait for Fall ....... you can just blow the leaves right off the trees during the Spring or Summer!
ChuckS Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 That way you dont have to wait for Fall ....... you can just blow the leaves right off the trees during the Spring or Summer! I am afraid of the impact of a sub-orbital leaf cloud. Climate change?
SiG Lady Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 "I've been toying with the idea of going to the property line and cutting straight up."Wouldn't be the first time that sort of thing happened.
