Rob01
I was under the assumption that the older HK/Benelli M1 Super 90s used the same threads for the chokes as the newer Benellis but as usual you know what happens when you assume. I had asked a question of Carlson's and was told: "We're sorry, the older HK Benelli's have their own thread size and does not interchange with any other manufacturer. We do not make this particular thread size." So does anyone with an older HK/Benelli know where to get a IC choke or any choke? And what size threads they are? Thanks for any help. Dan Sierpina
I was under the impression that the older tubes were the same as the chokes for a Berretta. Briley might be a good place to check with.
Jesse Tischauser
I bought Brileys for my M1 super 90. I can't remeber off the top of my head which type of choke it is. I'll check tonight. I might have a non-briley or a Briley that I'll sell you real cheap.
Sean Gaines
chances are very high if you have a choke in your gun, it was manufactured here in Houston (Briley), They make chokes for about every shotgun manufacturer in the country, and they just put thier name on it. They also make most of the accessories for Benelli's pro shop also, PM me if I can be of service for you. Rob01
Thanks for the replies guys. I will give Brileys a call and get some ordered up unless Jesse has one. Let me know. Now do I want a flush choke or extended choke? Any advantages to extended? Should still be legal either way for tactical class 3 gun right? I went with extended on my Benelli for two reasons. First was my mag tube stuck out an inch longer than my 21" bbl and the extended has everything lined up. second is they can be tightened or changed without tools. Make sure you get the non-ported, if you go with extended. The ported variety will put you in open.
Rob01
Thanks for the info MP. A friend informed me about the ported tubes and I was going to stay away from those for sure.
Jesse Tischauser
The Briley chokes I have that fit in my HK/M1 say BER/BENX2 on them. After comparing that with Brileys website they are Beretta/Benelli Mobile Chokes. PM inbound with what I have that I'm willing to part with. Justinsaneok
I just got an old HK imported M1super90 and need chokes as well . Got a 26” rib vent barrel on it and would like to know if I need Mobil thread chokes? Or if anyone’s got any to spare. I’m putting this together for 3 gun. Sallisaw Oklahoma if anyone’s close to me that would be cool. Edited November 18, 2022 by Justinsaneok
