Aircooled6racer
Hello: How many of you guys like the round count holes in your mags? I have some mags here and I was thinking of drilling some round count holes in them. The advantages would be to see how many rounds are in the mag. The downside would be that the holes could let more dirt in when dropped on the ground. Not a big deal if you clean mags after every stage. Let me know what you think. Thanks, Eric

Thanks, Eric They allow for a quick confirmation at MR (formerly LAMR) that you have what you need. If dirt is available, it will get into your mags no matter what! Not cleaning mags after every stage is Murphy bait! Besides, how may times have you been counting rounds as you load and someone asks you what number stage is this... al503
I like one at max capacity so I don't have to count every round going in and I'm not trying to force in a round thats not going to fit. If you shoot L-10, I might want one at 10 rounds also.
Aircooled6racer
Hello: I have put holes in at 10 rounds for limited 10 and IDPA before. I put some 10 round holes in my STI 9mm mags for shooting steel. That way I can start each run with a confirmed 10 rounds Thanks, Eric
Tzygä
I don't have holes in my mags. I count every round which I put in to the mags all the time.
Flatland Shooter
I put some 10 round holes in my STI 9mm mags for shooting steel. That way I can start each run with a confirmed 10 rounds Thanks, Eric Ditto to that. Plus I added holes at max round count. Initially I only drilled on one magazine and found it so useful, all mags have at least the 'max round count" hole. As for dirt, if the Double Tap Challenge don't kill your magazine, you are treating it right. If range conditions warrant, I clean my mags everytime they hit the ground. I can estimate and drill the mags, but I wonder if anybody has done this in CAD yet to be more precise.
