salilus
I load a 180 moly in fornt of 3.1-3.2 of clays loaded out to 1.125. Its a very soft load.
R. Batt
I used to shoot .40 minor out of a Glock 35 with jacketed bullets. I used 3.3 to 3.4 grains of Clays and loaded to 1.13. Due to the extra speed you'll get from the moly bullet, I'd say that salilus' load would be a good place to start.

big_kahuna
From memory, as I don't have access to my notebook... 4.0 to 4.2 grains WST 3.3-3.4 grains WST, 180 Bear Creek, OAL 1.130 to 1.135. OR 3.8 grains WST, 165 lead, OAL 1.130 to 1.135 Yields 135 to 140 PF, takes steel down with authority but is still mighty soft. Smokes less than similar clays load. EDITED TO CORRECT FAULTY MEMORY BANK DATA Edited January 5, 2010 by big_kahuna

salilus
I load a 180 moly in fornt of 3.1-3.2 of clays loaded out to 1.125. Its a very soft load. I forgot to add, out of my 5" XD with a factory barrel this load is seeing velocities in the 800-815fps range. Thats a 145pf or more. Anything less then that and it wasnt accurate\reliable without some serious spring changes that I didnt want to do.
