BlackBuzzard
I'm using HS6 with 115 MG jhp's in 9mm major, and I prefer this somewhat to 3N37 VV/125 jhp zeros that I was into initially. Is AutoComp basically a cheaper near equivalent to say VV 3n37? How has AutoComp behaved with 115's or 125's? Which bullet weight is preferred and why? I'm about to order 8pounds of the AutoComp to go with 125jhp zeros, but I thought I'd ask around here first. Who has tried both HS6 and Autocomp? PINMAN44
BB: I use HS6 with 115 grain zero FMJ's. I like 115's the best because they shoot very flat in my gun. I've been told by one of the Hodgdon's that HS6 is similar in burning rate to that of HS6. I'm going to try Autocomp with the 115's in addition to HS6 and I'm going to see how I like it and how it functions in my open 9x19. I like to have alternatives, backups, and similar shooting/feeling loads. I will let you know how my experimenting goes soon, I need some time to conjure up a major and steel load. shooterbenedetto
H6 a little dirty than autocomp. My dot on 9mm open major(trubore) flips in an 8 figure in H6. Autocomp has very little flip up and down(dot dont leave the lense, cleaner and cheap! I switched over last year.
PINMAN44
SLM: Yeah that's what I meant, sorry I was in a hurry. A friend from out of town that I haven't seen in years arrived and I rushed the post. My Bad Rob
35WLN
How is the temp sensitivity of Autocomp? Does anybody have any comparisons between Silohuette (sp?) and Autocomp?
Seth
Anyone have any data to share? I've been using HS-6 and found that Hodgdon lists Autocomp as one powder slower than HS-6. http://www.hodgdon.com/PDF/Hodgdon%20Basic%20Manual.pdf (burn chart on pg 13).
