STIGUY
I was thinking of doing one with old car/truck tires stacked and filled with dirt. A post down the center and maybe even wired together. Used tires are given away and I have a bunch to start with. This will be on leased land and as such I can either just leave it or knock it down with a tractor when the lease it up. What do you think? mildot1
Idea for cutting cost?? If I had the source for cheap fill(IE: busted concrete, brick, block or whatever] would it make sense to use a backhoe to dig the profile out. The let the fill go into the hole about two feet from the top then push the dug dirt over the excavation to make the berm?? I have the hoe so my cost there is fuel and time. Road commissioner needs to get rid of the junk fill, so I make a friend there. Opinions?? Thanks Mildot
CocoBolo
I would avoid the tires, its a EPA thing. It costs $8.00 or more per tire to get rid of them, plus the cost of hauling. I sure your lease holder will have his lawyer track you down if you leave them on the property.
