Well, last night on the way home from Multigun Nats...30 some miles from Kingman AZ...

Crunch...end of road for the transfer case

It seems the case does not have any interchangeability...its a Hummer only part <_<

Found a used one in California...no guarantee $1200.00 plus shipping

I guess we have to get one from GM...its only $2500.00

so I sit here in a coffee shop in Kingman...no internet in our posh motel 6...It ain't the Sunset Station we just came from in Nevada

Looks like we are stuck here for the next few days :(

Will be a little slow answering PMs and stuff

Jim

Jim: Should have kept the Jeep. I have heard alot of bad things about H2's including transmissions and drive axles. You would think a company like GM would have fixed all those problems---what am I saying it's a GM. You could do what a couple of friends of mine did when they broke down on the way home from different racetracks. Leave the car there and buy a cheap Toyota to drive back in. When the vehicle gets fixed fly back and pick it up. Then sell the Toyota for more than you paid for it. I have 4 friends that did that. Come to think of it they were driving GM trucks as well. Nevermind then. Hope to see you soon and say hi to Nanci. Thanks, Eric

Good news...the transfer case has made it to Phoenix and is scheduled to be here in the morning.

Might be ready to go tomorrow...of course now we have a winter storm ahead of us.

Well we just got home from our little vacation

Quite worn ...but safe and sound

The ice skating on I40 last night just outside Gallup was a little rough

Bunches of trucks and cars crashed along the way...but we slipped through

Good to be home at last...now to unpack

Glad you made it back. Kingman is no place for a vacation.

I remember breaking down in Kingman when I was about 7 or 8 years old. Transmission on the Chevy PU my dad had. Good Times :)

Wow! We used to live near Tucson and we spent a day and half in Kingman finding and replacing a harmonic balancer on a 68 Riviera....I was 7 too!

Must be the Bermuda Triangle of GM products in the southwest.

Several of the locals admitted there was some sort of vortex in Kingman that if anything was gonna break it would happen there.

Well, happy to be home but it's winter here.

Thanks for all the good wishes and watching over us during the ordeal. :)
