G+16 Posted October 7, 2009 Share Posted October 7, 2009 Evening: I have a dpms arlr 308 on order a buddy has a dpms 223, the question is and we have asked two different gunsmiths and gotten two different answers, will a regular lower for a 223 (dmps,bushmaster,colt ect.) function with a 6.8 upper with no modification? Aside from the obvious retail sales of complete guns the only reason lowers are made that are marked 6.8SPC is so that if the gun is sold there won't be any confusion as to what it's chambered in.
