Beretta Lover Posted September 13, 2009 Share Posted September 13, 2009 I'm sad to report my dad didn't make it. He passed away peacefully this morning at 11:19 EST in Asheville, NC. Mike Traynor was a great person. He dedicated the last 26 years of his life to fighting pediatric brain tumors. He and his wife Dianne founded The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and Ride For Kids charities. Together they built an army of volunteers nationally and assembled a full time staff who have raised appx $50,000,000 to fund research and programs to end this disease. He raced motorcycles competitvely when he was younger and was a general all around motorcycle enthusiast his whole life. He served his country in the 2nd Infantry Division, He was proud to have served his country. He was an old time, solid state workaholic and feisty irishman. He started dirt poor. He broke ponies, worked on farms and dug ditches for the gas company in his early years. My family and I are very grateful and impressed at the warm thoughts and prayers that the Benos community has extended us.
