G-ManBart
"Strikers, sears, springs, connectors/ disconnectors, and any other part which is NOT visible when the gun is in battery is considered an INTERNAL part and may be modified or replaced unless otherwise prohibited in these provisions (see section 22 for specific prohibitions)." This got me wondering about something. The Springfield XD has an externally visible cocking indicator...I don't have one on hand to examine and can't remember the last time I saw one disassembled, but would this prevent a change to the striker since the cocking indicator is visible when the gun is in battery? I honestly don't know if it's part of the striker or a separate part. Anybody???
XRe
Its not a part of the striker itself, but a separate part that makes contact with it. Its called a firing pin status indicator http://www.xd-hs2000.com/disassembly/slidedisassembly.html

I thought it might be separate part and figured if it wasn't someone would have had to think of that when updating the rules. R,
