racerba Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Brett Farve is now a Viking! Since they didn't get Vick.
Jake Di Vita Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Hell *$%&in yeah baby! Go B. Favre Green Bay is so screwed.
Dan Hefta Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 I can't wait to see him in purple, that's all the Vikes have needed is a good QB.
h2osport Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 I will take Cutler and the Bears over Favre and the Vikes! Randy
03k64 Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Good luck with that. Sure worked out well for the Jets last season.
Dan Hefta Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 The difference is going to be that the Vikings have a great Defence and Adrian Peterson. It will be a very interesting season.
NoSteel Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 My closest cousin is a Die Hard Pack fan, Packer colored man cave and all. Me, I'm a Vikes fan and we've feuded over the games my whole life.... Can't wait to get on him about this one!!!!!! I can see it now, Packers get booted from a playoff birth by the men in Purple....
Joe4d Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 I can't wait to see him in purple, that's all the Vikes have needed is a good QB. So when are they gonna get one ?
Rolex Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 He will retire- again at the end of the year- that is if he plays like last year!
mdstihl Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Way to show complete and utter disregard for your QB projects, Vikings. Used to like Favre, before the first of many tearful goodbyes.
Viggen Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Go Bears. Good for Bret. How much is the contract?
Ed K Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 The contract is for 12 mil this year, and 13 mil next. Living in MN I've always been a Vikings fan, but....... That's 25 million that could be used for big holes in our defense IMO. The question is can he stay healthy enough to earn his money?
chemepharmd Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 I grew up in Southern MS and had a roommate in college who played high school football with Brett. I've always been a fan, but at some point it's time to retire for good - he's not getting any younger. Having said that, I wish him the best.
Viggen Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Why can't he just stay retired. Well, $12 mil the first year and $13 mil the second seem pretty good reasons. If it all comes, that's $25 mil plus endorsements and more exposure which equals more $. I don't think anybody I know would stay retired with that sort of incentive. Heck, he can commute from his place in Green Bay...
