Sarge
Thinking of ordering a Shirt from Techwear. I was wondering how accurate the sizes are. i.e. Is an XL an XL or do they run small or large?
JimInFL
Thinking of ordering a Shirt from Techwear. I was wondering how accurate the sizes are. i.e. Is an XL an XL or do they run small or large? My input would be 'pretty darn close'. I wear 2XL in all shirts. My Techwear shirts fit just right, by comparison to most anything else I own. If I were pressed to pick one or the other (large/small) I'd say they might run a little on the large (extra room) side. And shrinkage (of the shirts ) so far hasn't been an issue. h2osport
I will say that I am usually a Large or Extra Large depending on the shirt. I ordered my Techwear shirt in Large, but my next one will be Extra Large. The sleeve/armpit area is a little tighter on the large than I like. 03k64
I normally wear a large, but I'm wide in the shoulders so I wear an XL Techwear.
Dan Burwell
When I wasn't sure they sent me several sizes to try on. Wouldn't hurt to ask if they would do the same for you.
gotm4
I wear a XL in 5.11 polos but really require a XXL from TechWear as XLs are a little snug.
dbltapipsc
+1 on going one size up. a little tight on arms and shoulders. Unless you like yours tight I think will be happy in the long run.
Neomet
I am right on the edge between L and XL. I got the XL but I think it is a little big on me. I think I am going to try a L on my new shirt. I am pretty broad across shoulders/narrow waist.
Pezco
Sandman, The Techwear shirts are true to size, but remember if you plan to layer during the winter you'll need some extra room.
Sarge
Thanks to all. Especially good advice from PEZ and Dan B. I may ask them for an XL and XXL to try on.
rtr
When I ordered a couple shirts recently, they said the following in terms of sizing "Size L is 46” around. XL is 49” and M is 42”. " Those measurements are around the chest and under the armpits.
Mark K
I just ordered a couple of shirts, and this is what Sue Irish at Techwear sent me about the sizes. Mediums are about 42” around (measured where the sleeve meets the side). I say about because they are cut out by hand and not a machine and so they may be a half inch off. The L is about 46” XL – 49” 2XL – 52” 3XL – 58” Mark K
