Sam
This is an interesting quote. I've been working extremely hard on a project for the last two years and it has really put me to the test. It has caused me to take stock of the things that others expect of me. Sometimes, when I'm really worn out, I take time to go away and roam the hills until my happiness returns. After that retreat, I always realize how much life would really suck if I didn't have others to share with. Sharing means giving up what you have worked very hard to achieve. The harder you work for something, the easier it is to become identified with it. To feel as if you have some scared "rights" to it. At that point, it owns you. The best way to be free again is to pass that "rose" to someone else. They can enjoy it without feeling that they have earned "rights" to it. So, it doesn't own them, they have nothing to defend. I think I'm just beginning to understand that fragrance. Thank you for the quote Merlin!

Flexmoney
Is that you Merlin? Merlin tagged it as "unk" (unknown) in his opening post. Google has plenty of hits, though. Probably an original author to be found there somewhere.

2kcrewcab
If your hand doesn't smell like a rose, then maybe you should reflect on what you've been giving out.....
