3gunner
Has any one used the NP-r2 reticle in the 1x4 ? Is it bold enough for the up close stuff? The two MOA hash marks should help a lot at 350+ yds.
h2osport
Not sure you can get that reticle in the 1-4. I run it in my 12-42x56, and love it for long range work. Randy
00bullitt
I've had one of the 1-4's with the FC2 reticle and found it difficult to pick up at speed. If it would illuminate bright enough to be visible in the sun it would be great. I seriously believe the NPR2 would not be the best choice in this scope for what we do. Hard to pick up and too busy. The FC2 worked great out to 400 with a 200 yard zero with what reference the reticle gives you. And 500 yard hits were easily repeatable on 10" plates. The turrets were also very easy to see and dial dope. That is my preferred method for engagement over 300. I much prefer hold dead on and get first round hits. Also much easier to dope misses in wind when you are holding dead on. But what works great for me does not necessarily work for everyone else. The turrets were my favorite part of the NF.
