S1000 vs Red Dot Revo loads

Currently loading 5.7 Red Dot under a Berry's 185 gr HBRN plated for my 625.

Loading 4.1 Solo 1000 under a 230 Bear Creek RN for Single Stack, and I REALLY

like the load! Have a 8 lb jug of S1000.

Getting low on Red Dot, and it's time to dust off the wheelgun. Anybody tried

Solo 1000 with the Berry's 185? Looks like 5.3 or so to start, and then work up.

But is it clean in a revolver? Anybody tried it?

Yes. Not with 185's but with 200 gr Precision RN, 1.200 oal. 5.2 gr went 169 PF, 884 fps, 8.8 SD out of my 625 over my Chrony. Same load, same batch of ammo, next day, went 180 pf over the chrono at the Wi Sectional. Maybe 10 deg warmer for the sectional chrono. Solo 1000 seems very clean but sooty (really a non-issue) if loaded up enough to burn efficiently.
